Ford Puma North Run '99

A Windermere Saturday Noon

Yeah I'm being an obnoxious picture taker Looks fun, was fun! Looks fun, was fun! Well, what can you say, a whole little Volksfest is what they had arranged! *laughter* Actually, that's a Rally Team Trailler with two tents, an official Ford Works Kit Car and the very Neil Collins and his Team there. Ford also generously provided us with free North Run '99 shirts and Puma badges - Cool! Anyhow, most of the festival character came just from plain great weather and lots of fun people (Wanna have your names here, folks? Fill out the hashes: ####, ####, #### and ####). Johnnie and, hmm, is that Liz? are already sorting out the first few Polaroids of the day somewhere below the field of view of my picture.
Everybody goes marching to town What a delicious little pudding! For the benefit of the famished, our merry organizers had made sure a local restaurant would have enough seating reserved for us. Barely enough :) So that's how comes everybody left their beloved Pumas and went walking to town for now. Turns out food was much better than I remembered. Have you guys been going through some kind of culinary revolution while I wasn't watching? Look at ####, err, drooling over his desert.
Folks gazing at Pumas Pumas gazing at Folks The crowds were now lazing on the lawns gazing at the Pumas while the Pumas were busy gazing back. After a while, we left them beloved Pumas once again to hit town, this time to do away with some beer.
Ben Briant and Neil Collins (left to right) Just a little closer together .. That's it! This of course attracted more Puma Rally Drivers. Ben Briant wasn't slow to join us there, and I believe he might have taken Darren to a spin, too. Anyhow, once back to the camp it was cheese time for the VIPs. Darren, Richard and Lee had to face some of the heat themselves though.
And there Garfield considers himself a fat kitty That's a fuel gauge to the very right Okay so I couldn't quite refrain myself from taking a couple pictures of the Big Toys: The blue one's Ben's (can you see any of its interior?), and the silver one is what Neil is going to take to honours very soon.
All in all, the afternoon and early evening were quite a success. To round it off here comes my official head count shot. A few have already left here, but just a little while before I personally had counted thirty-one Pumas, and I'm sure there was close to fourty altogether counting in people having left already. We, however, had still an exciting evening and night to come...
