Trinity
After hearing a talk in a college age Sunday School class a few weeks ago about how God is not, nor can not be confined to the three or four dimensions we inhabit, I got this image in my mind of how the Trinity might be represented. Basically the Trinity is (for those who may not know) the concept that God can be three persons (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit) and yet be one person.
Now, in this image, imagine that on each of the planes intersecting the cone, a two-dimensional man (or woman if you prefer) was looking at the spot where the cone intersects their world. For a person on each plane, the cone will appear different--and yet it is one cone. We in the third dimension can see that quite readily, but for a person in a two-dimensional world the truth isn't quite so obvious.
