How I failed to even take notice of this character for 26 years of my life is a mystery. I'm only just now unraveling the modern version of my ancestors favorite God.
Instead I grew up with Peter Madsen's version of Thor and the other Gods of Asgard. I still more than adore those comic books. In all honesty the Marvel Thor looks like a lame, blond joke compared to Madsen's red-haired and loud version of the Thundergod.
Then why the Hel am I still picking up Marvel Thor? Basically it's all because I like what John Romita Jr has to offer. Sadly, I haven't seen as much of what he can actually do in Thor as I would have liked. I'm still hoping he'll get the spark back in his work.
