Diamond Calibur

The world was normal. The world was normal.
“...the skies keep acting peculiar going from light to dark during the day. Whether its a storm front or new type of solar activity meteorologists haven’t said.”
“Isn’t that strange,” Raye questioned a television reporter, gazing into the screen. Long bright blonde hair trailed her neck as she kept getting closer. Another girl was behind the couch Raye was on the edge of, walking about in the kitchen. The other girl was LeAnne, Kuri’s oldest niece; actually older than Kuri by five months because when Kuri was born all her siblings had married and their own children.
Raye was LeAnne’s best friend, and was spending the weekend with her. The sky had been much different lately--blacking out like basements. Raye sipped her soda from a straw still hypnotized. A different reporter continued:
“We’ve had several reports of violent breakouts, murders, and kidnappings from just this past weekend. Oddly enough, all the victims were women.”
Raye gasped in her goofy way, “did you hear that? Hey, are you listening to me in there?”
LeAnne had known about her aunt’s Alters, more precisely acquainted with SS3. Of course. She didn’t know anything about Evince or his plans for the male gender. But Evailia had a similar plan to destroy the males, LeAnne turned to face the television and thought about it briefly.
Drip. LeAnne turned off the kitchen faucet and Raye was still sipping her pop. LeAnne couldn’t shake the thought of Evailia having something to do with today’s news--or Kuri alone. She was always up to something world-affecting.

“Why won’t she answer?” The phone kept ringing as Renea was trying to get a hold of Faith. She looked to the ceiling impatiently when a few pounds attacked her lap. Renea jumped, “oh,” she patted her cat’s head, “good kitty.”
She turned to her computer. The monitor flickered, though she ignored it. It continued, but a darkened female head appeared. She moved closer, but the woman was still all black.
“My dear, dear child,” the static voice retorted, “as you will, as you will--come to me, help me, be me.”
Renea’s eyes went blank. Everything became black.

When Renea awoke, she was lying down on what she found to look like an autopsy table. It was flat and white, three girls were looking down on her. One looked a very know-what-she’s-doing type, still and stern. The other was simply angelic, and the third’s head and shoulders kept bobbing as if the small one was jumping.
   “I can’t see! I-can’t-uh-see!”
“Now, now, Child,” the angelic one said. Renea wasn’t sure if the lady was referring to her as before or the bobbing one. Renea wasn’t even sure if they were aware of her consciousness. The stern one patted a cool cloth on Renea’s forehead. Now she seemed peaceful, she’s the one on her monitor. Renea tried to sit up, and gazed at the three. Each was so pretty, and the stern one’s eyes stole her attention. They were cat-like.
“How do you feel?” she asked.
“Ah, good, the new one is all right,” a mechanical voice said from behind. Renea looked behind her to the ceiling. A small monitor was there in the meet of the ceiling and wall. The two older women glanced at each other sensing Renea’s confusion. The small one skipped over to Renea’s side.
   “You’re okay, aren’t you lady?”
Renea looked to the other two, “I suppose--”
“Good!” the child leaped, “this is my brother’s lab!”
“Sorry about the entire ‘kidnapping’ situation,” the stern one stated.
“Yes, you have been brought here because of your friends,” the angelic Royailia continued, “they need your help.”

“What do you want from me?” SS3 snapped.
“I’ve been doing some research on you, friend,” he said grinning in a hint of light, “now, why won’t you let me do my jo-”
“--and let males and females depart for war?!”
Evince looked down on them, his lips parted almost attractively, with no feeling.
“Just stop now, Evince; there’s no need for war. Why do you need me dead for you to be strong?” the aggression left SS3’s face. But it went to Evince’s.
“In order for me to rule my kind, I must be the strongest--you must die! Helping females?! You’ve been manipulated!”
“Males are suppose to help us!” Faith dared to shout at him. He smiled admiring her spunk.
   “You’re fighting a loosing battle!” SS3 retorted.
   “Why? You’ll soon be dead!”
“Even if I was, Evince, you still wouldn’t be the strongest.”
   Evince sneered, “and why’s that?”
SS3 looked to Dante, “because there’s one young male second to me?”
Red eyes surrounded the base of Evince’s standing. The silent ones became rowdy and started to act like monkeys again. Evince gave a chilling smile, “let this war begin.”

   “Calling the Firewall,” SEMI stated.

Back to the entrance of the realm, where the Firewall had been left. It beeped, then the headlights turned on. SS3 looked back to the sounds of it turning around leaving, without moving his head.

“Here, child,” Evailia said, leading Renea to the front large double-doors. She stopped to look at Renea, “SEMI will drive her, do not worry. You are fighting--strange things will happen to you naturally.”
The driver’s door opened, Renea nodded, still ignorant and frightened, then sat inside the car. Slowly, the door shut and the Firewall drove off again.
“Hello, are we comfortable?” the small screen in the front flashed.
“Er, I think so,” Renea glanced around, “its like an airplane in here.”
She could’ve sworn SEMI chuckled. She sunk down in the seat holding herself. The darkness became lighter grays.

Again battle broke loose and everything was tense. Kuri’s heart swelled, a minion launched her plummeting into a wall. She parted, and landed on her crushed back. The creature laughed and hollered and spewed. Faith swung into one’s chest, he leaned to bite her shoulder. As she let out a small whimper, he kneed her. Faith caught herself before the fall would injure her head. The minion ran off to attack Zachary, she heard SS3 practically growling as he tossed one over his shoulder.
Some sort of whistle started faintly in the air. The fighters heard it, but didn't acknowledge until the loud screech was booming in their ears. Dante looked up to find a blue haze like a falling star approaching. What landed was a bright-headed girl on one knee.
"Renea!" Dante dashed over to her. She pulled out a small blade. She, like the two other girls, was in a one-piece body suit of blues. She stood to meet him holding the blade across herself and smiled. "How did you get here?"
"That great car of theirs," she turned for her back to face him. He looked over her shoulder waiting for something more. "I'm going to fight." She leaped up again and turned to face a minion that she saw running for her. He looked up to her growling, as she floated like Faith had done. She crossed her wrists and an eerie gray aura started. What appeared to be another girl in that gray hue was barely noticed behind Renea's head.
A female ego? Dante thought, then said aloud, "that can't be."
The thing raised itself to be noticed, then flew down in an instant and attacked the minion, lifting him off the ground as it disappeared towards the ceiling. There was a terrifying high-pitched scream. The thing was behind Renea again, it smiled, then faded. Dante couldn't help but question.
   "What did it do?"
"Sorry, that was my element," she answered landing on her feet.
Kuri glanced up to where Evince was watching somewhat, and noticed a caped figure behind or beside him. Then he turned away. That's strange...why doesn't he fight?

"Sir, please," the same bowing man pleaded.
Evince stopped pacing from his throne and gave the man an evil glance, "we need to capture the girl and obtain SS3!"
   "But like he said, sir..."
Evince interrupted him, "oh, you wish to side with the Perfect one do you?"
"No, sir, listen; there's no need for this war, as he said."
"War or no war I'm defeating that male!"
   "Listen, sir, SS3 has weaknesses."
Evince's expression went calm, "oh, really?"
The man went stern and still, then said, "yes, he cannot cry, sir, or he dies. It is said that if this certain being approaches him SS3 will start to cry...dispersing.”
   “Certain being?” Evince questioned.

SS3 was getting excited fighting half the minions. He tapped his earring and the Firewall approached. He let off a wild grin as the Firewall cranked. Faith looked over to the sounds and saw--a motorcycle? Her eyes widened a bit as she stared to the silver sporty thing.
Renea walked to Faith’s side. SS3 leaped up onto it, “don’t stop now, ladies!”
The two leaped diagonally away from each other as minions darted their way. A low voice went through Kuri’s head, “my princess.” Kuri blinked to the words.
“My princess,” Evailia continued, “you must again fuse with Dante.”
Kuri nodded without hearing another word from Evailia, and ran to Dante. She pressed her right index and middle finger on his forehead before he said a word and they began to glow. There were many ways to fuse. Dante's mortal body returned inside the tube back in the lab with no supervision. SS3 continued to ride ahead pulling a pistol of some sort out of a side cubby-hole. He saw the fused being ahead and stopped ending up with the MC’s side facing Kuri.
The fused Kuri attacked with water and the others fought as well.

“Child Royailia,” Evailia came up to the little one leaning onto Royailia still glowing in her scene. “Would you like to help your princess? Your present form?”
Child Royailia nodded and clasped her hands in glee, “I get to help now?”
   Evailia smiled.

SS3 drove around the curved walls that finally showed within an appearing light. He was chased by two minions, who tried to claw his back tires. SS3 looked back and shot at them. He got the right one in the eye, it screeched holding the wound. SS3 looked to his right and back to his front several times after noticing a blur.
"Kuri!" he shouted. Fused Kuri was running so fast beside him. "Playing tag are we?" SS3 smiled. Kuri jumped and turned around once she was seated on the back of the MC facing the chasing minions. She took SS3's pistol, then threw it down. Empty anyhow. Here came a larger-barreled weapon. SS3 heard her get it, "how'd a little thing like you get that baby out?"
The fused Kuri looked back to him, SS3 only saw her profile, "not little, and this baby ain't that big." She held it over her shoulder and fired to the left minion. She lifted her left arm and pulled it down again, "yes!" Soon ahead of them, a wall of ten minions formed. SS3 squinted his eyes and drove through them while shooting small missle-like weapons through the opening rear-view mirrors. He stopped with the side of the MC facing the fallen males. He turned back around while Kuri made faces to them as they left.
SS3 stopped again in the place he was when he argued with Evince. Evince arose from sitting on his throne. Kuri jumped off as the others seemed to be finishing off the remaining minions. Evince lifted his right hand and put it down again.
"Perfect One, I can have you easily destroyed," he exclaimed.
SS3 looked up to the nemesis and forked his eyebrows, "how so?"
Evince's voice lowered and became louder. Beautiful voice, but why with such an ugly strike? Everyone stopped in their own time. Evince began an eerie poem, or a chant. "Omomadaya, omomadaya,..."
All the minions' eyes lost their red glow and they went blank completely. They sneered and focused directly onto SS3. SS3 looked to all of them as they circled him. He looked behind without moving when he heard one step forward. The male staggered then darted to him and SS3 flipped sideways landing outside the ring. Slowly, they mumbled something, mocking him? Mimicking, copying their leader. "Omomadaya, omomadaya..." Evince smiled almost purely at his puppets.

"Sister, what are you doing?" Royailia watched her sister pace. Evailia turned to her placing a finger to her lips in thought.
"I'm going to retrieve the other two, personally."
   "Guardians?"
"No, Alter fighters," Evailia turned her head, "hopefully they'll allow me to bring them here." She started to walk to the metallic double-doors, and grinned, "not that they'd have any choice but to."

Raye laughed out loud, "that was the best!"
LeAnne smiled, "yeah, just gotta avoid those news alerts now."
"Yeah, I know," Raye blinked, "they're popping up everywhere."
The television went static, then blacked out. All the lights went out.
   "Ah! LeAnne!"
"Hush ya trap would ya? I have a flashlight somewhere..."
"Oh you won't be needing that," another voice replied.
The two grasped each other's arms. Raye's whimper gave away her shaking, Evailia's eyes glowed deep red. "Don't fret, child." She lifted her hand and pale energy covered the girls. They screamed.

Light flooded in each corner of the realm. The light showed one tall pillar in each corner, connecting to one another with a small thin corridor-like walkway. Evince began to speak again. SS3 crossed his arms, examining each corner. Faith began to glow, she looked to her palms. "Huh?" Renea and Zach did the same. Evince raised his right hand and they floated and landed on the walkways. Glass walls went up from the sides to the ceiling. SS3 and Kuri screamed to their friends. "No need to fight it, SS3," Evince began, "this way they'll be safely tucked away as we fight."
SS3 growled when he looked back up the Evince. A round large energy orb appeared above SS3, once he looked up the orb burst. LeAnne and Raye fell screaming. SS3 caught Raye, Kuri jumped up but Evince had an aura around her before Kuri could get to her. LeAnne began to glow as well and they both ended up with the other three. A wide black and blue lightning bolt shot down from the center of the ceiling. Evailia flipped out from it.
SS3 turned, "well, look at this. What made you decide to join us, Sister?"
She walked and smiled with a mature style, "looks like you'd need help."
Evailia looked to Kuri as the fused being glanced back cocking her weapon. "Come along, male, lets get this doing done!"
Evince appeared to have a golden aura, electricity shot around him. A large energy orb formed above his head and became larger by the few seconds. SS3's white irises went multi-colored continuously, forming beneath him was a glowing blue circle. Lightning bolts shot down to the circle and back up again. "Stars above--Call upon the Powers of the Blue Dragon!" The lightning collected in the center of its own beam and formed a tremendous blue metallic energy dragon. SS3 scowled at Evince.
He held his left hand over him, "Draco, surge!" The beast roared, the five in the pillars covered their ears moaning to the sound. Evince blocked without hesitation and stared coldly to the dragon. For an instant Evince's energy orb seemed to form a phoenix then formed a ball again. Evince took his left hand from over his right breast and snapped it down to his left side. "Ko-ben dai sen de!" Light flooded the realm and kept flashing. Draco yelped, when it lifted its head to face the ceiling its electrical aura went haywire and shocked SS3. He held his arm over his eyes, Evailia pulled him away.
Evailia took her palms and held them in front of her in a circular motion, she shut her eyes and tried to calm the beast down. "Sai lur de cla se hal i de cu lu ve la da le halv a le." Draco lowered its head and like a cat, rubbed against Evailia.
Kuri stood among them now, shut her eyes and Dante's ego appeared behind and above her like a spirit. Her regular body was smiling now, she opened her eyes faintly. Dante's ego burned red, the aura surrounded Kuri. She chambered her fists to her sides and locked them out in front of her crossing her wrists. "Stars above--Call upon the Powers of the Flaming King!" She was surrounded by a dome of fire and a larger lion darted out from it. Kuri stood alone now, without the ego. "Leo, charge!"
The lion marched up and prepared itself beside the nestled Draco.
"Surely, kid, you can handle these two yourself?" SS3 walked up to Kuri with scratches still flaming. She looked highly into his white eyes, he kissed her forehead and fused back into her. Leo scanned the horizon, and sensed Evince's heat.
"Leo, come here, boy," Kuri clapped her thigh as the lion crept backwards snarling to the wicked presence. She forked her eyebrows to Evince, "I'm tired of hearing about you males, all you do is care about yourselves. You don't even have a love for your followers!"
The dark figure behind Evince lightly gasped.
Evince watched her face shift from one emotion to another. Was she about to blow? Or cry? "You have your place, girl, and I have mine."
"You don't know about places," she closed her eyes tightly as the energy of Leo and Draco grew intensely. "You only know how to hurt others! Its sad, that I'm more of a man than you'll ever be. And I'm not even close to being a guy!"
Leo pounced in front of the foaming dragon. A minion jumped down from the pitch black ceiling overhead of Evince's throne. It leaped onto Draco's arm, turned into what seemed to be a gaseous state and condensed inside the dragon's being. Draco's arm turned black, it roared from pain, then implanted all fours into the ground so intensely and with such force the broken bits flew to the darkness above. Leo leaped away, Evailia vanished and Kuri flipped backwards away from the rubble. Draco held its head still, looking forward, angrily. Electricity encased it, and shot out in so many beams a blinding light was enforced.
The blackness ran down Draco's arm and left a puddle inside the deep hole its paw was in. Draco lifted his left paw, the puddle lifted looking like a vortex and formed the minion again. He flipped back out of the crater, as soon as he landed, Kuri could see the rest of the minions backing him up. Kuri whispered to Evailia's ear, "don't stop me." She ran to Leo and straddled his back. The lion crept behind Draco, and snuck behind the group of minions. Kuri threw out her left hand and took it towards her again, "round them up, Leo!" Around Leo's neck formed a flaming collar. At the same time, a flaming circle formed under them and shot up a faint round wall. Leo roared, allowing the fiery wall to wave over the minions. As soon as they looked back, the flames zapped their eyes and screaming lips. That row was burnt to nothing, and they vanished like the one Zach faced.
Kuri hugged Leo, and the lion dispersed in light flames. She floated forward on her feet. Evailia walked over to Draco, lifted a flat palm in front of its face and moved it down just above the space between the eyes. Draco rested in a ball and vanished with sparks. Evince crossed his arms is disappointment for his minions.
