London 1999 Diary

Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999, 8:30 AM

Well, on my own at last. Not in London yet. I know, I know. I can hear you thinking 'get on with it already! Get to London!' I feel the same way. Sorry, but I have to wait until 9:30 if I want to cheaper rate on the train. Besides, if you want to see what happens, you can just flip the page. I actually have to wait it out.

So now I'm sitting on a bench in the Nicholson Center (a mall) in Maidenhead. I had something to eat earlier, but there's a bunch of bakeries around, including a cookie place that looks yummy. And they're playing Christmas carols. I love Christmas carols!

I checked out some of my maps and guides this morning, so I think instead of taking a tour bus, I'll just walk around Westminister. Maybe I'll find somewhere to have scones with clotted cream!

Until later,
(hopefully in London),
Julie
