London 1999 Diary

I'm in London! Yup, you read right. I'm finally in London. Right now I'm writing in St. James' Park, right near Buckingham palace. I was just on a two hour tour through the city. Our tour guide was really funny. It's amazing how much different touring on your own is from touring with a group like the March of the Living.
The tour was a lot of fun and (to my dad's pleasure, I'm sure) I took a lot of pictures. Unfortunately, the batter in the camera is low. Otherwise I'd take a lot more.
It's so pretty here. The sun is actually shining, and there's still a lot of greenery. It reminds me of the first day I was in Poland, looking at Bavel Hill. Oh, it's so beautiful looking at the sun on the water of the park! There are a lot of birds around here too. And it's not nearly as cold as I thought it would be (though it's cold).
The architecture here is stunning. I hope my pictures of Westminister Abby come out well, because it's just so gorgeous! The entire city reminds me of Old Montreal, speaking architecturally. When the suns hits the buildings just right you can almost forget all the cars and traffic lights and lose yourself in the moment (I guess I'm a secret Toreador).
There's a walking tour at three o'clock that I want to take (and it's free!), so I think I'm going to be doing that soon-ish.
I just got the rocks I promised Frank and Kobould (though I might get more later), and I have Ian's postcard that I'm going to write up once I finish this entry.
I could go on, but I think I'll just make a longer entry later.
Until then,
Julie
