London 1999 Diary
Tues., Dec. 14, 1999, 8:50 PM
Okay, I'm back at the hotel now. I went on that walking tour I wrote about last time. There were only three people on the tour: me and a Parisian couple whose English wasn't very good. I actually wound up translating the tour for them as we went along (I never realized how many words in French I don't know).
Then, after walking around Westminister Abby, I decided to come back here, which I did. (Took me over two hours, but I did).
I didn't have anything to eat in London, and for some reason dinner made my stomach upset, but I'm over it now.
Called Jeff again. He seems much happier today than he did yesterday. He got his new computer and already has it set up for the 'net.
Tomorrow I think I'm going to go to the British Museum, and possibly the London Dungeon, a museum about torture, execution, etc. I'll go if I'm up for it. The part of me that existed during Bialik would kill the rest of me if I didn't go, I think.
So far I'm finding the British very nice people. Granted, that's probably because I'm giving them money, but I'd like to think they're just generally nice people.
Not much else to mention right now.
Until next time,
Julie
