He married Lula Malinda Jane Armstrong in Jacksonville, Duval Co, FL, December 24, 1908. Lula was born in Jacksonville, Duval Co, FL May 11, 1892. She was the daughter of Charles Reigns Sr Armstrong and Jessica Mirah Petty. Lula died March 23, 1938 in Jacksonville, Duval Co, FL, at 45 years of age. Her body was interred in Evergreen Cem, Jacksonville, FL. Lula participated in the R3 Plot event in H-240.

Uncle Barney was married there also. Papa worked at #2 Fire station at 4th or 5th & Main. Said he would see mamma walk pass and said I was going to marry her. Worked for the City of Jax... Had black men working foe him...Rex Sweat was running for office and Papa would not vote for him and got fired.. When mamma died he was a night watchmen at docks downtown. On Tallarand where the Matthews bridge. Went around to warehouses and punched a security clock. After mamma died he never worked any more. Drove: Model T or A touring car.. going to Radford.. mamma always carried a black leather satchel with legal papers. It was reported that Mae wrecked it near 20th & Main Moved to 1111 20th in about 1926 soon after Kete was born.

Mom Born at 17th and Silver north side facing south, 1 house towards main from corner. Blanch said all were born in front room. House was believed owned by mamma's father.

Barney named Bonnie, changed it at about age seventeen. Bubba was Thomas Harold changed it to Barney Harold when he grew up..

30 i. Annie Mae⁴ Browning was born in Jacksonville, Duval Co, FL August 14, 1911. Annie died May 11, 1960 in Jacksonville, Duval Co, FL, at 48 years of age. Her body was interred in Evergreen Cem, Jacksonville, FL. She married Roy Emmett Garrett. Roy was born 1907. Roy died 1964 in Jacksonville, Duval Co, FL. 31 ii. Irma Loyce Browning was born June 23, 1913. Irma died April 3, 1979 in Jacksonville, Duval Co, FL, at 65 years of age. Her body was interred in Evergreen Cem, Jacksonville, FL. She married Harry Van Mcdowell. Harry was born January 5, 1909. Harry died April 10, 1982 in Jacksonville, Duval Co, FL, at 73 years of age. His body was interred in Evergreen Cem, Jacksonville, FL. 34 v. Blanche Curtis Browning was born in Jacksonville, Duval Co, FL April 15, 1920. She married Emmett C Parnell in Macclenny, Fl, November 14, 1936. Emmett was born in Lowdesville, SC November 16, 1917. Emmett died April 22, 1988 in Jacksonville, Duval Co, FL, at 70 years of age. His body was interred in Evergreen Cem, Jacksonville, FL. William was born in Rochelle, Wilcox Co, Ga April 13, 1922. He is the son of Henry James Chandler and Nancy Isabelle Fleeman. He resides in Jacksonville, Duval Co, FL.
