To Michael, What is it About You
To Michael
In the darkness of the night
No one to save him anywhere in sight
He payed the price for others’ crime
It fit in perfect with his life
A life of misery, hatred and pain
Flashed by his eyes as he shouts in vain
Then a bright flash and they are gone
"I must be in Heaven" the hurt guy thought
He saw two figures, blurred in the dark
Shown only by the light of stars
"Look at him, Mom, he’s had his share"
She took him in and made him care
Showed him that life is still worth living
Though the pain will take time healing
Time, it turns out, wasn’t enough
And even though he’s had it more rough
He thought it was just too much to take
So he said bye to the only one who cared
With a bang he blew out his mind
Left his life and sorrow behind
Leaving her in puzzled tears
Realizing the truth of all her fears

Based on a true story

What is it About You
What is it about you
that made me blindly fall?
How could you have done it
Making me break through that wall?

Was it your presistence
Or you sweet tender ways?
I don't know, but I sure wish
that these feelings will stay

I promised never again
Now the promise is broken
I can't take it back anymore
the words have been spoken
