Christmas day was really beautiful down in Florida and we went over to Jerry's sister Linda's home to spend the day there, and had a big family dinner with his sister Shelly, their mom and more family as well. | |
We picked lemons the size of oranges in her back yard, and by the time evening got there, Lisa wanted to go swimming in the pool where we were staying. She couldn't believe how warm the weather was, and we used the AC the whole time. | |
The day after Christmas we went to the malls, and Jerry showed us around his old stomping grounds. We got to see some of the places he used to work at, and the colleges he attended, and had a really great dinner at his mom's home. | |
The drive back here wasn't as rushed as it was going down to Florida, but it still took us about 16 hours to get back again. We rested up before taking Lisa back to Virginia again, and were relieved to be back home again. | |
