SDS ® is a CAD/CAM system developed by our company in cooperation with designers and professional production engineers from shoe factories like "Dobritch" S.C. - a leading Bulgarian shoe manufacturer exporting excellent shoes all over the world. The system is based on standard technological devices and instruments (personal computers, scanners, printers, cutting and drawing plotters, etc.) made by leading international companies.
SDS ® is extremely versatile, handy, and all-inclusive system for computerized design of shoe models, which may be easily and efficiently configured both for small and middle-sized factories and for large mass-production plants. The system requires professional background in design, costing, and grading of shoe models, but no special computer skills.
The operation of the system can be mastered typically in a few days.
SDS ® substantially reduces the period from the creation of a model to its industrial production by automating the design of model details, allowing precise assessment of material and labour costs, details grading, manufacturing of templates for production of punches.
The system consists of all-purpose workstations with software program packages built on a modular principle and embodying the existing experience in shoemaking industry.
The accumulated database in the system will allow you
to develop, fast and easily, new model lines by restoring and modifying
models of past seasons.
Model Design
:Input of the basic model.
Here we use a method which is still not mastered by other developers of
similar systems, that is scanner input, which provides for stable high
accuracy independent of the human operator hand (at least 75 dpi), saves
time and renders realistic color and proportions on the display. The system
also provides for standard digitizer input.
: Detailing from a Basic
Model. A set of tools allows the modeler to draw arbitrary lines on the
substrate of the scanned basic model. Contouring may be made automatically
or manually. Symmetric, asymmetric, and rotated details may be reproduced
or created.
: Drawing of Design and
Production Marks. (goffers, points, lines of decorative perforation and
stitches, etc.).
: Editing of Details. A
wide scope of tools and features (scaling, rotating, translation, etc.)
provides for editing individual or grouped details with their production
and design marks.
: Filing of Designed Models
by Seasons.
: Generation of Assembly
Drawings for Manufacturing.
: Filing of Assembly Drawings
of Models.
Grading
: The middle-size pattern
details are taken from the model design (after the basic model detailing)
or from the scanned and contoured details.
: The orientation of details,
the instep volume, the length and the grading axes are determined interactively
on the screen on the substrate of the scanned basic model.
:Grading Systems. You can
grade details by all known size systems (schticht, metric, imperial) and
groups (men's, lady's, children's). It is also possible to determine increments
of instep volume and length.
: Types of Grading. The
system provides for free grading, group (central) grading, or partial grading.
: Editing of Details. A
wide scope of tools and features (scaling, rotating, translation, etc.)
provides for modifying individual or grouped details with their production
and design marks.
: Filing of Graded Models.
Optimized Cutting-Out and Plotting
: Planned (Tentative) Consumption
Rate. The middle-size pattern details are taken from the modeller's design
after the detailing or from scanned (by scanner or videocamera) details
after automated contouring and simultaneous calculation of the net area.
: Production Consumption
Rate (model process sheet, combinations). The pattern details are taken
from the modeller's design after the detailing or from scanned details
for the extreme and middle sizes after automated contouring and simultaneous
calculation of the net area.:
Determination of Consumption Rates for basic and auxilliary materials.
: Generation of Drawings
for Detail Edges Processing with automated measuring of lines' lengths.
: Output of Documentation
for each model on the screen and printer.
: Filing the calculation
results for all models by seasons.
Cutting of templates
: A Combined Plotter is
used for cutting-out and drawing of details.
: The Placing and Layout
of details is done in dialogue mode. The system provides for flexible options
of cardboard sheet size, duplicating of cut-out patterns, rotating and
mirroring of cut-out details and groups of details, as well as cutting
with additional fairing of contours. It is possible to cut out/draw only
the detail contour or/and all design and production marks.
Training
: Personnel Training may
be carried out at the client's premises or in the Training Centre of Tekom
Ltd., Varna.
: The Length of Training
is as follows:
Design and Grading of Details - 5 days
Costing of Models - 5 days
Plotter Drawing and Cutting of Details - 2 days.
: The Training Includes
Maintenance of system modules.
