John's Famous Spaghetti Sauce

What you'll need:

- 29 ounce can Tomato Puree
- 28 ounce can Crushed Tomatoes
- 12 ounce can Tomato Paste
- Garlic Powder
- Oregano
- Basil
- Thyme (optional)
- Rosemary (optional)

What to do:

In a 3 quart sauce pot over low heat, combine the Puree, Crushed and paste. Use a little bit of water to get the extra out of the puree and crushed cans. Stir together well, making sure the paste mixes in well. Add a fair amount of garlic powder, oregano and basil. I don't measure, so I can't tell you exactly how much. But here's how I measure each: The garlic powder I sprinkle on until there is a thin coating on top of the sauce, then I stir it in. The oregano and basil I measure a handful of each. Before I dump it into the sauce, I grind it between my two palms, to make it smaller pieces.

Continue to heat over low heat, stirring often. When sauce begins to bubble, cover it so as not to make a mess all over your stove. Within an hour, the sauce should be ready to use, but the longer you cook it, the thicker it'll get!

Some things you can add to your sauce:
- Sausage (pre-cooked)
- ground beef or turkey (pre-cooked)
- mushrooms
- green peppers
- Other veggies (I've used yellow squash)
