August 31, 1997--The day the world was shocked by terrible news. Diana, Princess
of Wales, Queen of Hearts had died in a tragic automobile accident in Paris while
being chased by the paparazzi. The whole world mourned at such a loss. Both the
Buckingham and Kensington Palace gates were just a sea of flowers given by the
people as a last respect to their beloved princess.
Princess Diana was in everybody's hearts. Most of the world had not known Diana
personally, but they all feel like they have. This woman was different from all
the others that had been. She was vibrant and had a way of reaching out to people
that no one had. She gave the love of a real princess. She was young and pulsating
with life. She was beautiful and charming. She was kindly and intelligent. Princess
Diana was someone to look up to. She was different from all the royals. She brought
life into everyone...she gave up some of her own self for the people.
This was Princess Diana for me. Like many others, I did not know her personally and
like many others, I felt like I did. This was the quality in her that I liked so much.
And because of these conditions, I feel that making a memorial for her in the virtual
world was the least I could do to show my respect for her.
I am thinking of putting up a section where people have expressed their thoughts,
sorrows, anger, grief about the death of Diana, Princess of Wales. The only problem
is, I haven't got any comments. It would give me great pleasure if you e-mailed me
some of those comments to make this section possible. Just click
on the rose to send them to me. Better yet, sign the guestbook. Thanks!!!
