How Are Things...

13th March 1997

I'm back at my lab... it's 10.20 pm, Thursday. The strains of Bach's Brandenburg Concerto is filling the air. It's playing on a CD on one of the lab's PC. Ahh... beautiful classical music. Can you hear it? Well, I guess not... ha, ha. Just joking. It's a pity I'm not hearing much of them nowadays.

Yesterday at 7.30 pm, Sreedhar (my collegue at the lab) and I took a walk to Gelugor for dinner. I had nasi kandar and teh halia. I last had teh halia during the Puasa month at one of the stalls along the side lanes of Penang Road. Mmmm... teh halia. After dinner, the 2 of us took a walk to Udini Beach. On our way there, we came across a man who was talking to himself rather loudly about him being jailed and will be returning to Langkawi after his release. I was hoping our paths won't cross. He later sat on a road divider. When we passed by, he asked us for the time. Sreedhar answered, "Lapan!". After a few steps, I glanced at my watch. It was 8.30 pm.

I hope you are coping well in your studies. Do enjoy your last few weeks of the semester. I wish you all the best in your tests, assignments and the coming exams. May the Lord be with you always.

Until I see you around, take care and God bless.

With warmest regards,
Bart
