It's 9.25 am on All Saints' Day. I'm at my lab hoping to get some work done on my project. It's pretty quiet at the moment with 2 other students here.
I rose at 6 am this morning and was at Pondok Sungai Dua by 6.30 am to catch a bus for All Saints' Day mass at 7.30 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. The air was invigorating... cool and crisp. A bus arrived shortly.
As I boarded the bus, I was greeted by the smell of freshly fried curry puffs. Mmm... can you imagine? Freshly fried curry puffs at 6.35 in the morning... truly an amazing combination. Besides this, the bus had a distinct "early morning smell" of toiletries... freshly put on makeup, maybe some cologne and other bodycare products.
Along the way, somewhere near Sungai Pinang, I caught a glimpse of a patch of clouds in the sky. With the early morning sunrise, it was in bright orange... very beautiful. The shape of the clouds helped in painting majestic, bright orange ripples across the sky.
On arrival in campus, I headed for the Anggerik Biru Cafe and guess what I had for breakfast? Two curry puffs and a cucur badak.
Mum, mum...
