***DAY EIGHT ***

Edinburgh, Scotland

11:33 pm Scottish Time

Wow. This city is amazing. First, we took a bus tour of the city led by a guy in traditional dress (kilt etc.). We saw mainly the gothic part of the city. We got to see the Queen of England's residence when she's here. There's a tower that dates back to the regin of Mary, Queen of Scots! Then we went up and walked around Edinburgh Castle. I got to see the crown jewels (crown, sword and sceptor) of Scotland, and the coronation rock of all the kings of England and Scotland. Then we had a free afternoon, and I went to Hard Rock Cafe (not to eat, just to get the shirt) then shopping. Then we ate dinner in this awesome resteraunt. After dinner, we went to the courtyard of St. Giles Cathedral to wait for our "Witches and Ghosts" tour (more on that in a minute). We made a "human cathedral" and had the Scottish accent competition. I came in second to my darling little brother. Then we went on the Witches and Ghosts tour. Our guide (a really HOT Irish guy dressed as Adam Lyal, a man who was hung in Edinburgh for highway robbery) showed us around a few of Edinburgh's "famous" spots where horrid things happened. He did a witch accusation just to show how they did it. He chose a girl named Brigid from Washington. Just goes to show you can't pick the witch from the crowd... Now we're waiting for our train that will take us to London. Edinburgh RULES. It and Killarney are my favorites.
