| As you leave the Center and move closer to Linnanmaa, you may catch sight of young Finns in brightly colored jumpsuits and white hats with long tassles. These are uniforms for the students to wear at special events and presentations. Each department has a different colored jumpsuit. The patches on the jumpsuit and the knots in the hat tassle give information about the student. This is a postcard of a student holiday downtown, probably Vappu, which is May Day. | |
