I've been thinking alot about the whole "straight-edge kids who sell out" issue lately, and I decided
that I don't like the way most of the straight-edge scene treats these people. I think it's wrong to
turn your back on a friend just because they "broke their edge." If you truly care for someone, then such
a thing should never sever your friendship. Anyway, I posted a statement on this issue here.
I've also included a statement by Ray Cappo (from Youth of Today, Shelter, Better Than a Thousand) that I
think summarizes well what is wrong within the straight-edge/hardcore scene. If you don't know already, Ray recently
had a drink of alcohol while on tour with Better than a Thousand in Europe. This has caused a huge backlash
of judgemental finger-pointing perpetrated by people within the scene that I used to respect. For example,
while I was at a show recently, Sweet Pete from In My Eyes was trash-talking about the whole thing and it literally
made me feel sick. This was coming from a so-called "positive" straight-edge. So I'm not an In My Eyes fan
anymore...anyone wanna buy an In My Eyes record?
Oh yeah, I've also included a new Quotes section on the Ideologies/Opinions
page. Check it out.

I recently found out about a new anti-gang bill that is currently being put through congress.
This bill could potentially be used to prosecute straight edge kids, animal rights activists, and
environmentalists, as well as members of other positive youth subcultures. Basically, it runs on
a "guilty-by-association" philosophy. Read more about it in the new activism
section. I've placed portions of the bill on a special page dealing with this issue. Educate yourself so
you can be aware about this new threat to our liberty.

I have added a new section devoted to my various ideologies and opinions. Hopefully my thoughts
will provoke a little thought and maybe even spark a debate, which is perfectly fine with me!
If you got beef, let me know, we'll talk! I put the old "Straight-Edge" page under this new section
and I have completed a page on "Revolution." The other pages in the new section are not up yet and it's going to
take me a while before I have those ready.

I just found out something really funny today. Apparently, my page is now linked to the
Texas Gang Investigators Association Homepage. My page (along with a few other straight-edge pages)
is listed right up there next to links about the bloods and the crips. How they got my URL,
I don't know. Even more curious is why they chose to link my page. Is there anything
menacing about my page? I don't know, but I guess someone thinks I'm a gangster!
As far as site updates go, I've been doing constant updates recently. Check out the new
graffiti page I put up, as well as new pictures on the
pictures page and the turntablism page. Check back often for more
updates, including a new "Ideologies/Opinions" section that will feature my thoughts on straight-edge,
veganism, pacifism, animal rights, abortion, and more.
