Banner is on your own hard drive

If you have the banner on your own hard drive under AOL Download.

You need to use FTP software to upload the "banner.gif" to your directory. If you have never done this before, it is a big but important step in your website management education.
First you need the software. I give you a link on my page.
Then you unzip and setup the software. It takes a little bit to get comfortable.
Then you study the examples provided for setting up a link to your page from the FTP software. It is a one-time thing.
You type your screen name on the top line.
You write ftp.oocities.com on the next line.
Next line you write your GeoCities name.
Next line you write your password (I think there is an email address there as a placeholder only).
Save and close.
Make a button on your Desktop.

Now you use your FTP software. You open the software, and click on "yourname". Click CONNECT. Wait till it says "completed". You are now connected.
Open File Manager, go to AOL/Downloads and click on your banner. Arrange windows so you can see both the FTP software and File Manager. Drag your banner name to the right window in your FTP software, and wait while it uploads. It tells you when it is complete.
Close it all.
Go to your GeoCities directory. You will find your banner.gif in your directory! Now you can put your IMG SRC code in.
