My eyes shut tight, I'm drifting off and everything turns vague and softly currents turn to air and they aren't there and then I'm planted on my feet in a wide field, meadow so big the huge, dark sky can hardly support it's own heavy burden of clouds. As the gray reaches down to press my shoulders I feel the first drops, big salty drops of rain big as water baloons tossed from balconys falling and hitting my face- water rolling off my hair and lips and splashing round my feet and I realize the lightning flashes that have been lighting up the world. The thunder breaks so harshly that all I can do is stand in the middle of the ocean of wet salty grass and laugh. And I start to run and I know there's nowhere to run but that doesn't matter at all becasue the cool wind the rain had saturated is coming is through and hitting my face and making me aware of wet sticky clothes . No one will ever let me into a restaurent or a grocery store because drops whip off me with my every motion but it doesn't matter because I've had the rain.
