Writings
I love writing. It is a vent, a way to lift myself up, something that clears my mind and helps me understand my thoughts. I am serious when I say I think writing is one of my reasons for being here on this earth. Please, read some of this.
- "In support of life" I am extremely opposed to abortion or anything that means death to human beings. This short piece is something I knocked off after midnight one night, and it's a mere attempt at trying to say something that is very meaningful to me. I was shaking while I wrote this.
- Skyflower Life is arguably one of my best pieces of writing. It was my purpose for existing for perhaps a year and means a lot to me. It is posted in its entirety, about 40 computer pages.
- Glowing, or "The Shira Story" is a fantasy-type piece that is, arguably, my other best piece of writing, containing some of the most powerful scenes I have ever written. It is up in its entirety, at maybe 20 pages. I even have some pictures I drew up as well!
- This is something completely different. I called it "Call Yourself Stupid" when I saved the document. It is a rant. I don't have a lot of rants up there and I don't know quite why I was compelled to put this one up too but I did and there it is.
- My Travel Journal is a physical journal (going on two journals, now) which I take with me to write in on trips when I don't have a computer handy. Because I'm seeing new things, I end up having a lot to write. I like a lot of the things in this journal because they have such different influences than the pieces I write at home, staring at a computer screen. So I put them in a seperate section.
- "Good Friday in Bak Tower Gardens" is... well... a poem. My creative writing teacher was surpised when I handed this in. :~) She said it was unlike me or something. I don't know if that statement has any merit or not...
- "Wanderlust"- I've been writing a lot about roadtripping this year. It's an idea that's been on my mind a LOT. This is probably the best of the roadtrip peices. It was published in my school's literary magazine.
- "Light" is a little thing I wrote off the top of my head, as I tend to do. I write more of these random essay-things than anything else, I guess.
- "AP Euro, day 1, back of planbook" is the uncreative title. It's where and when I wrote this- day one of class. It's three sentences that I like a lot. It's fine if you don't understand. I'll forgive you. ;~)
- "Bamboo forest" is almost about this bamboo forest near my house. Part fiction. Again, quite short. A 10-line piece.
- "Tuesday" is what I'm calling for now this very short essay-thing I got published in my school's literary magazine under the title "Written on a rainy, gloomy Tuesday," which is the nonmeaningful title I'd written at the top of my notebook page at the time.
- "Music #5" is what I'm calling a piece I wrote one day while I was listening to music loudly and trying to do some pretty pointless homework. I printed it out and put it on my physics book for inspiration and it promptliy tore off into my backpack.
- "Scatterbrain" is something a bit different. It's a sort of poem, and it'll make much more sense and be much funnier if you know me pretty well. And it'll be even better than that if you're the one always yelling at me for leaving stuff everywhere. ;~)
- "Demonsleep" is a random very little thing I wrote while falling asleep in class.
- My rain piece is something I wrote in a mall after buying my friend a copy of Catcher in the Rye and while trying to work on a rhyming poem for creative writing class, an assignment also known as the stupid poem assignment, cause we all broke our heads over it. But this piece isn't forced to rhyme so it's good, maybe.
- Strangities is the first story of the ever-growing Sailor Moon spinoff that is the Sailor Guides series. A Christmas present to the real Sailor Guide Sync, and meant to be an improvement on Sailor Moon by allowing the heroines to fight in jeans and a T-shirt (though there is dispute over this fact, due to pro-Sailor Moon rebellion on Guide Sync's part), this is not a very serious piece. Mulder and Scully appear at one point, and there is some stereotyping on my friend's personalities, though all in good fun! This is not as long as Skyflower Life- 15 computer pages worth of story. Be warned- with that link, you venture into XFAF territory!
If you'd like to read the updated versions, as worked over by Sailor Sync, or the sequel, go to Sync's page!
- Bottom of the Alphabet is a weird story of which only the first page or so is posted! It's done, though, so you can email me for more at aniad@usa.net for more.
- Fire and Chaos is my lone venture into FANFIC LAND, and a nice work devoted to my obsession of THE X-FILES!!!! Again, about 15 computer pages worth of story, and again, the link will take you into XFAF territory!
I also have a quotes page up, if you want to read some good stuff NOT written by me.
