MY LIFE - SEPTEMBER

Dell has me completely baffled right now. I sent a payment in on my computer about three weeks ago and they still haven't received it, according to the person who called me the other day. This is exactly like the situation earlier this year in March when I sent a payment in, only to have it magically disappear into a land unknown to us normal people. So far, that's two checks lost without any legitimate explaination other than I must have mailed them wrong.

Yeah, okay.

Let's see, I put the response ticket in the envelope along with my check, making sure that the address on the ticket, which is preprinted, was showing through the window. I made sure everything was on the check that I needed and I applied a postage stamp to the flipping thing. I then dropped it off in a mailbox at the post office where I assumed it would be on its merry way.

Wrong. Just like the first time, it never made it. The operator even asked me the absurd question if I had put the write address down where it was going to be sent. I told her that the address was preprinted. She asked me to verify what it was and I did. So for the second time in six months, I was told it must have been lost in the mail.

I've had two things lost in the mail then since I can remember. Both of them went to Dell Financial Services. There seems to be an obvious connection that I can see. I just must be dumb or something.

I woke up on time today, which was a big boost compared to yesterday. I only wake up late once in a while, but it's usually a doozy when I do manage to pull it off like I can. Most of the time, I wake up so late that I get a call from the store wondering where my lazy ass is. That's embarassing, so I learned to stop answering the phone after a while and kind of sneak in. I hate answering the phone and hearing my manager's voice on the other end because I already know what it's about, especially on Saturday.

It's just easier on everyone when I remember to wake up, or so it seems. I used to be just awful at it too. The only day I had to get up for work has been Saturday, but I worked and went to school for two years, so getting up all week at 5:30 was tough, then to get up on Saturday at 7 seemed even worse, even though it should have been easier than that. But 16 years of not getting up on Saturday had me in a pattern that was tough to break out of.

I finally managed to get up on Saturday without much of a problem, but every now and then, I can't get up very well. It pretty much has to do with me not being a morning person in the least and nothing else that I can think of right now.

Hopefully when I transfer over to Berea and get into a pattern there I won't have so much trouble. I'd like to be a morning person, but it's not easy.

Amazing fact of the day: Yes, I do my own laundry. I know this surprises most girls, but I know how to wash my clothes. I can cook too, so take that. I'm not nearly as dumb as I look.
