MY LIFE - NOVEMBER

Let's get right to the point and avoid bullshitting as much as possible tonight, since it's after one in the morning and I'm already tired from working until midnight. I have a problem. It's something I've noticed since yesterday afternoon and has been persistent.

I cannot walk in these new boots.

I already have enough trouble walking with shoes I'm used to. I'm not used to these yet and I'm continually not lifting my feet up high enough to avoid stumbling a little bit, sometimes nearly falling on my face. This is while at work. No one's said anything, but I'm sure everyone's noticed it.

Then I go home and stumble over every step I come across. I'm not even joking here. The end of my boot will catch the step as I go up, causing me to try and keep my balance. This has proven to be a rather difficult task for me to do since I'm already out of whack when talking about my balance. This is an accident waiting to happen. I'm just moments from falling down the stairs or whacking into a counter or something because I can't walk.

It's not the boots however. It's been so long since I bought any shoes that I forgot how much time it took me to get acclimated with them before I learned how to walk again. I'm getting better each day with these, but I'm still stumbling all over the place, sometimes in the grocery store on tile. I should be having this problem on tile floor, but it doesn't matter with me. I have the problem anywhere I go.

I like them though. They're so much more comfortable for me and I haven't had a problem with my feet hurting since I bought them. I do have one other problem that's associated with them though.

My cat will not stop scratching them. She continues to try and sharpen her claws on my new boots. This does not make me happy. It makes me very mad because I do not need her ruining them just a few days after I bought them. I look at them and see little claw marks all over them. She's doing this constantly. I had to shoo her away three times tonight alone.

Oh well.

Tonight wasn't that bad of a night. I was able to work with Steve for 8 hours and have a generally easy night, although because there was just the two of us after 8pm, it did get a little interesting at times. When someone would drop off a new prescription, I'd generally try to type in the information, then go over to the filling station and fill it before giving it to Steve to check it.

It was fairly slow, although it could have been slower so that I could fill some of the cells and cassettes up a little bit. I managed to clean about five or six cassettes, but that was really it for the night since anytime I'd get started, another customer would come up, drive-thru would ring, or the phone would ring. So I essentially gave up trying to get anything like that done for the night.

The midnight shift wasn't bad though. The night went by fairly fast and I was able to enjoy myself for the most part. Some of the customers were kind of nasty, although I don't think it was as bad as it was before I came in. According to Jim, a lot of people were complaining and there were just a lot of problems period. I didn't really see any of them though.

The one thing I don't like about it is how late I get home. It isn't going to give me much of a chance to work on my site so I'm going to consider changing the day when I work on Come Again? and Commentary to probably Wednesday since I seem to be getting that day off on a regular basis.

I already know those two haven't been updated in two weeks, so this is going to be very interesting to see if I actually get any chance to work on them. I'm also considering a twice weekly update, once on Wednesday and again on either Saturday or Sunday depending on when I work, if at all.

We'll see how that all pans out though. I don't exactly have a great track record when it comes to doing what I say I'm going to do with this web site. If nothing else, I would like to just keep up with what's already working well.

One more thing, the reason I haven't been updating music charts or doing any reviews is because I'm going through all my CD's in alphabetical order just because I feel like doing something stupid for a while. I do have a new CD from the Wu-Tang Clan, but that site shall remain as it is for now until I go back to listening to my recent CD's.

Besides, working so much makes me weary of typing after a while. My fingers are going to freeze up eventually. Oh well, can't stop now. Well, maybe I can.
