A couple of things. First off, why is it when it's not snowing that hard, people act like it's a blizzard outside? Secondly, when it is actually snowing very hard, why do they act like the roads are perfectly fine? On my way to work, the snow had just started to fall, but it hadn't really coated the ground and the roads were fine. So why was everyone driving 40mph on 480, where they rarely drive under 75mph? I just couldn't fathom it.
I also want to know where all the traffic came from too. I know rush hour was an hour away, but what's the deal? I've never seen it that heavy at 3:30 in the afternoon. It was amazing. In all actuality, it was just one slow car in each of the four lanes that slowed up all the traffic too. Even when I got to route 237, it was slow and traffic was backed up for a long way.
I was late for work because of this people and I left early! It took me 40 minutes to get to work and once I got in, the snow started to slow down and it eventually stopped. It didn't start snowing again until around 9, but it came down in a hurry and right before we were ready to leave, we took another look outside. The street was covered in snow and it was obvious the ride home was going to be interesting.
Work itself went pretty good. Nothing out of the ordinary happened and everyone seemed to be doing all right, although a few people were concerned that I wasn't saying anything. I had to explain that I really wasn't in the mood to be talking at that there was nothing wrong. I eventually started speaking more only because I was being encouraged to.
Later in the night, I filled half the baker cells after Regina did the inventory scan and I did that up until midnight when I helped her lock down the pharmacy before heading to try and clear the snow of my car. It took a while, but it allowed my car to really heat up and make the drive more comfortable.
The roads were awful. Just awful. There's no other word to describe it.
I was doing 20 on the freeway and hoping that the cars flying by me didn't lose control. They lose control and I have a shitload of trouble in front of me and I would probably have to try and stop. That's not really an option when you can't even find the highway. It was completely snow covered.
After 45 minutes, I made it home and that's where we stand right now. It's late, I'm tired, and I work at 12 tomorrow, which means there's not much time to write, even if I had anything to write about.
I'm just tired right now and I'm going to bed. Deal with this shitty entry.
