    Saunders.
    Born 1800, Co. Kilkenny, Ire., died 2 Oct 1845, Beckwith Twp.,
    Ont. On the 3 May 1818, she married John Lett II, born 5 Jan
    1794 Co. Kilkenny, Ire., died 4 Nov 1878, Watford, Ont.
    (s/o John Lett and Sarah Saunders).
    Mary buried Franktown, Ont. (Can find no listing to confirm).
    John buried Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Brooke Twp., Ont.
    They had 9 children. Thomas, Sarah, Robert, John, Jane, James,
    Mary, Samuel and Ellen.

Other Saunders data show her name as being MARIA.

    Mothel Church Records of Co. Kilkenny, Ire., has the following
    entry: 3 May 1818: Married by Banns, Mary Saunders of
    Knockalane and John Lett of Coocullen.

In 1846 John and his family moved to Brooke Twp., Ont. He lived
on Lot 18 Con 13.

    Mary is supposed to be resting in the Franktown Cemetery, but
    she is not listed/shown in the Cemetery Book. He father Thomas
    died 20 Mar 1845 and he is also supposed to be in Franktown
    Cemetery..not listed in the book..Since both died within 6 months
    of each other, it is assumed she would be buried in the same
    place as her father and step-mother Sarah (Daley) Saunders.

    Clair, Mich. He married Jane Craig, born 1830.
    They had 7 children. William, John. Levi, James, Mary, Sarah
    and Robert.

Thomas went to Michigan in 1862.

    1909. On the 1 Aug 1859, he married Mary Wilson, born 1828,
    died 28 Jul 1913.

    They had 5 children. Benjamin, Jane and 3 others.
    (All the children died in infancy).

5. JANE LETT: Born 1833 Beckwith Twp., died 3 May 1867. In
    1855, she married Thomas Saunders, born 1827, died 5 Nov
    1879. (s/o Thomas Saunders and Mary Salter).
    Both buried Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Brooke Twp., Ont.
    (Jane is in the Lett Family Plot..Lot 3 Plot 2)
    (Thomas is by himself in Lot 46 Plot 6).
    They had 6 children. Robert, Maria, William, Ellen, Sarah and
    Mary.

Thomas re-married 30 Oct 1869 to Jane Flood.
They had 3 children. Margaret, Hannah and Henrietta.

(1) ROBERT SAUNDERS: Born c1856, died before 1929.
He married Frances Ferguson.

Lived at Yale, Mich.

         (2) MARIA SAUNDERS: Born 1857, died 10 Dec 1893. In
              1883, she married Thomas James Wilson, born 3 May
              1861, died 1 Feb 1934. (s/o John Wilson and Mariah
              Saunders).
              Both buried St. James Cemetery, Brooke Twp., Ont.
              They had no children.

Maria was instantly killed when struck by an Express
Train in a blinding snowstorm.

         (3) WILLIAM SAUNDERS: Born 9 Nov 1859. He married
              Lillian Park.
              They had 2 known children. Laura and Mabel.

Lived at Yale, Mich.

         (4) ELLEN SAUNDERS: Born 1861, died 22 Jul 1929.
              Never married.
              Buried Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Brooke Twp., Ont.

After her sister Mary died in 1900, she kept house for
her brother-in-law James Watson and his infant daughter.

         (5) SARAH JANE SAUNDERS: Born 15 Feb 1864, died 5 Oct
              1925. On the 28 Apr 1885, she married Robert Wilson,
              born 1858, died 9 Jul 1917. (s/o John Wilson and Mariah
              Saunders).
              Both buried St. James Cemetery, Brooke Twp., Ont.
              They had 8 children. John, Laura, Mary, Robert, Pearl,
              William, Russell and Rheta.

         (6) MARY ELIZABETH SAUNDERS: Born 1866, died 30 May
              1900. She married James Henry Watson, born 1863, died
              1957.
              Both buried Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Brooke Twp., Ont.
              They had 1 child. Vern.

6. JAMES LETT: Born 26 Dec 1835, Beckwith Twp., died 15 Sep
    1924. On the 4 Dec 1861, he married Deborah Saunders, born
    25 Jun 1840, died 13 Aug 1910. (d/o Thomas Saunders and
    Martha Edwards).
    Both buried in Saunders Private Cemetery, Brooke Twp., Ont.
    They had 11 children. Hezekiah, Martha, John, Maria, Sarah,
    Keziah, Deborah, Bertha, Florence, Thomas and Howard.

                They had 5 children. Erma, William, Romeo, Vera and
                Earl.

    They had 9 children. Maria, Jane, Robert, Katherine, Margaret,
    Ellen, William, Adeline and Rebecca.
