WELCOME to

In Memoriam

After an undeserved difficult time Cynthia (a.k.a. Destry) has passed away on january 7th, early in the morning.
To us she has been the most fantastic wife and wonderful mother we could ever have wished for. We are grateful for the wonderful years she has given us and more than sad it couldn't have been more.
Words cannot express what she has meant to us and many others.
Thank you, my dear, dear Cyn, from your loving hubbie and kids.

And a big thank you to all her friends that gave her so much pleasure during the last year of her life. The joy and happiness she found in the friendship of many people all over the world through the wonderful internet has been very important and meaningful to Cynthia. I can only hope she has known how many people loved her.

Destry's Homepage will remain where it is. She mentioned a number of items she still wanted to add, and I have started to make an attempt at finishing what she started. It won't be the same, I know, but I owe her at least that much. So I will make some more additions In Destry's Memory. Thanks all!!

Hi every1, so nice of you to drop by.
This site is about whatever springs to mind (and ain't that a lot!) and about :
friends
family
fun !

This and that containing some hobbies, there are links to friends' sites, other interesting sites and pics ... Lots of em. But first let me explain myself !

Why Destry?
"Destry rides again" was James Stewart's first western, an actor which I admire and which movies I enjoy practically all my life (see fun). It remains the least typical western ever made and is still a delightful movie till this day forward.
So I needed a nick while going into chats for the first time of my life, and thought of Destry straight away. Firstly because Destry is a pleasant person -who does not carry firearms because, as he explains: "You see, if I had carried a gun, one of us might have got hurt, and it might have been me".- Secondly because Destry seems a pacifist, at least until push comes to shove. It seems people have to learn Destry is no wimp, but just isn't interested in showing off to begin with. When you have seen the movie, you understand why the character James Stewart played is so loving, and immediately why I've chosen it and didn't choose it by coincidence. Instinctively because it's sometimes been the story of my life. And like with Destry, people find out when it's too late. 'Destry rides again' was released in 1939 by Universal.
