From September, 1987 until January, 1988 I attended Bellingham Technical College and received a completion certificate in bank teller training. During this time I was working at the Blaine Public Library part time. In April of 1988, I started with Rainier Bank as a part time teller. Shortly after,I went full time. I was then promoted to vault teller, which I held until Septmeber of 1991. In September of 1991, I applied and was hired with U.S. Customs in the small boat reporting office. I stayed there 1 year, then transferred to the entry office at the Pacific Highway - U.S. Customs. I was promoted to Lead Customs Aid in April of 1997. I have started taking classes at Whatcom Community College for a paralegal degree while trying to work full time.

After Grad I started working in the restaurant business. I met my husband in 1990, was married in 1993 and our first child was born in 1994. We bought a deli here in Blaine in May of 1997 and so far we are real busy but we are enjoying being new business owners in Blaine.
