Layered Taco Dip
Ingredients
Mixture
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup Mayonnaise
Taco Season
Other layers
1 can (14 to 16 oz.) Refried Beans
Guacamole dip
Shredded Cheddar cheese
Diced Tomato
Black olives (pitted and sliced round)
Sliced green onions (scallion onions)
Mix the sour cream, mayonnaise, and taco season together.
Layer the ingredients on a platter or in an oblong glass-serving dish as follows:
Refried beans
Sour cream/mayonnaise/taco season mixture
Guacamole dip
Cheese
Top with tomatoes, olives, and green onions
Serve with taco chips.
Crab Pate
Ingredients
Mixture
12 oz Tub of Cream Cheese
2 Tbs. Worcestershire
1 Tbs. Lemon Juice
3 shakes Garlic Salt (adjust to taste)
1 shake Season Pepper (adjust to taste)
Other layers
Crab Meat—Chopped (either real or imitation—adjust the amount to your liking)
Seafood Cocktail Sauce
One box Waverly Crackers
Mix Cream Cheese, Worcestershire, Lemon Juice, Garlic Salt, and Season Pepper together, and spread on a flat plate.
Layer with the chopped crab meat.
Top with a thin layer of the seafood cocktail sauce.
Serve with the Waverly Crackers.
Guacamole Dip
Ingredients
1 medium tomato
2 medium avocados
2 Tbs. Lemon juice
1 1/4 tsp. Salt
1/2 of a small onion (minced)
1 small garlic clove (minced)
1 small (4-oz.) can chopped mild green chilies (drained) (If you like it spicy, you may change the flavor to medium or hot.)
Peel and dice the tomato and set aside. Cut the avocados in half (lengthwise); remove the seed, peel, and slice them into chunks.
In a bowl, mash the avocado chunks with the lemon juice. Then, stir in the salt, tomato, onion, garlic, and chilies.
This may be served alone with corn chips or as an ingredient in the Layered Taco Dip.
