Ahh Debbie... what to say? We met at the beginning of our freshman year. She had just moved up to Oregon from Cali, and stood out like black on white. Just like me and most of my friends. She fit in perfect - after she got to know everyone, it was like she lived there all her life. Hell, she knew more people than I did and that was my second year in town! We had so much fun at lunch - and still do in our sophomore year. But the best was when we went cruising - taking a feild trip we called it. We had a friends witih a car that took us up the grade to get out of class and have fun. And it was. We just wanted to have fun and in the end, we all got in trouble for skipping classes. But it WAS fun...
So Debbie and I are in our spohomore year now - this is our second year as best friends, and we never got into one fight. Well, there was that time at lunch... Deb and I were horsing around and all hypered up and she just stopped and slapped me across the face. No reason. Then she walked away and I let her. Everyone asked why I didn'thit her back - I told them that she zoned out and that she wouldn't do it onpurpose - at least and MEAN it. I was right... we forgot about it until the next day. Then she told me that she just felt like slapping someone and felt horrible that she had slapped me. I didn't mind - my friends know that if they need to hit someone really bad that they can hit me - but not twice... then I hit back to straighten them out. Well Debra, here's to ya kid...
Always, Jas
