'I am still not persuaded by anything I've read'
Therefore you are unwilling to change your position.
There could be several reasons for coming to this conclusion. I wonder if yours is one of the following list?
You might feel the whole book is too glib and superficial. That we are skating over serious problems very quickly. Admittedly, we've tried to cram a lot into just a few pages, and that can sometimes give the impression that we're laying down the law and relying on unfairly selective evidence.
But don't assume that there are no deeper arguments, or that we've stated all the evidence there is! If you need a book which will take you more deeply into the evidence in one area or another, there are plenty to choose from. Browse round any good Christian bookshop and you'll find lots to interest you.
Or you might be saying, 'Sorry, not persuaded', because you came to the book with your mind already made up. Have you really looked at the arguments we've used with objectivity and an honestly open mind?
Or it might be that you would like to be persuaded - you're quite ready to believe what we say, if only we can convince you - but nothing in this webspace has built up enough conviction in your mind to clinch the deal. You're still waiting for the one missing piece of the jigsaw, the one conclusive bit of evidence, which will prove beyond a shadow of doubt that Jesus' claims were true. I have bad news for you. You're not goig to get it.
You can't prove the reality of Christianity by arguments alone. You can built up a very good case; but you'll just end up with a pile of evidence on one side saying, 'Yes, it's true', and a pile of evidence on the other side saying, 'No, it's rubbish', and some days one pile will look larger than the other. But you'll never be able to make up your mind conclusively, because the next day, the other pile may seem a little bigger... The only way of being certain, beyond any shadow of a doubt, is to take the risk of inviting Jesus Christ t become Lord and King of your life, and proving in your own experience that he is real. I can't prove him to you with clever arguments. Only you can prove him to yourself.
Are you ready to do that? Or do you feel you still need to sort out the facts a little bit more? Either way, we have some advice for you. To find out how to invite Jesus Christ into your life, click here. To find out how to explore the evidence a bit more, look here.
