FBI: Moon Unit Zappa target of death threats
SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) -- FBI agents arrested a man Thursday for allegedly threatening to kill "Valley Girl" singer Moon Unit Zappa, the U.S. attorney's office said.
Timothy Mark Brownfield, 40, appeared later in Santa Ana federal court and was ordered held without bail pending arraignment Monday on a count of mailing a threatening communication, U.S. attorney's spokesman Thom Mrozek said. A federal grand jury indicted Brownfield on Wednesday. He could face up to five years in prison if convicted.
Brownfield allegedly mailed a package of documents to the FBI's Santa Ana, Calif., office on Oct. 30 in which he threatened to kill Zappa, although the threat "was not terribly detailed," Mrozek said. Brownfield wrote that he was angry with Zappa and her late father, Frank Zappa, for allegedly stealing the lyrics to "Valley Girl" from him, Mrozek said.

This comprises Frank’s Dog Breath Variations; Uncle Meat; Outrage At Valdez; Ruth Is Sleeping; The Girl In The Magnesium Dress; Harry, You're A Beast; The Orange County Lumber Truck; and G-Spot Tornado, all sandwiched between Adams’ Scratchband and Grand Pianola Music.

In 2001 Vai's label Favored Nations will release the 10 cd box called "The Elusive Light & Sound". 1 of the cd's will contain solo piano performances by Mike Keneally of Vai's tracks: Salmander, In The Sun, Junkie, Bledsoe Blvd, Sisters, Ballerina, The God Eaters, Die to Live, Touching Tongues, Pig, Dying Day and All About Eve.
