All about me...
Most of you may know me as Michigan K Man, from theYahoo Chat rooms. You can find me and my internet friends in the Romance section, in Michigan Room under the User rooms heading. I was born December 6, 1972 in Detroit, MI. I am the youngest of 6 children and I currently live in Roseville, MI. That's about 20 miles NE of downtown Detroit. I am 5'11", caucasion, single and wiegh about 140 lbs. I have brown hair and blue eyes.
Prior to that, I was in a 2 year relationship with a girl named Theresa/Terri. She had a very nice family. I went to her house everyday after school, they made dinner and drove me home each night. We had a great time together but we split up because she thought I was seeing someone else(NOT!) and she played off being pregnant with my child. It was all a lie. I figured why should I spend the rest of my life with someone that is going to make up lies.
I had a few more girlfriends in Junior High, but they were short term relationships.
My first girlfriend was in 5th grade. She lived in Royal Oak and her name was Tracey. Her dad was a Computer Engineer and her mom was in Opera. She played in "The Mikado". Her parents were divorced too. Her mom then moved to California and Tracey went too.
My favorite radio station is 93.1 WDRQ, they play a lot of dance type music. (ie: Janet Jackson, Madonna, Will Smith, Brandy/Monica, Hanson, Leeanne Rhimes, Backtreet Boys and etc.)
I have won many prizes on this station, like CD's, gift certificates and tickets to many places.
I'm not really a sports fan, but I will watch my home team as they are in the playoffs, world series, superbowl and etc. I was glued to the TV when the Detroit Red Wings won the Stanley cup, 2 years in a row - both sweeps. I was quite happy, thinking they weren't going to win the first year. I also remember when the Detroit Tigers winning the World Series in 1984.(That's the only game I think I watched).
We moved on to Roseville, MI and lived there for 3 years - (1976-1979). My dad and mom split up and we had to sell the house.
So we went to my grandma's in Detroit, MI - (1979). We didnt stay there long. Just for the summer months while we were out of school.
My mom searched the newspapers and found a house for rent in Ferndale, MI - (1979-1981). The gentleman that we were renting the house from had a son who was in an auto accident, and he was forced to sell the house we were living in so we had to move again.
We moved to Royal Oak, MI - (1981-1984). We stayed in Oakwood Villa Apartments until the rent got too high.
We then found another house in Ferndale, MI(1984-1987). It was a 2 bedroom and not enough room. The house had too many field mice too, so we moved again.
On to Hazel Park, MI - (1987-1990). Too many people lived in the house: 5 teenagers/adults (Karyn moved out and got married), some of our girlfriends and my brothers friends. Imagine all of us in a 2 bedroom! My sister took over the rent payments.
I moved in with my sister Karyn, in Ferndale, MI - (1990-1991), so I could finish off High School.
After graduation, I moved in with my mom. - (1991). Kevin, moved in there too a short while before.
Well, I then decided that it was time I moved out so my girlfriend, Amy, and I moved into Warren Club Apts. (Warren, MI - 1991-1994) Amy became pregnant in 1992 and we had our son, mom passed away in November 1994. I became stressed and decided that we should move again. We have been looking at houses prior to my moms death.
We found a house and closed on a house in December of 1994, but we were unable to move in until February 1995. It was a nice house by Ferndale High School. I moved out in Sept. 1996, when Amy and I split up. (Brandon, Amy and her new family live there still.)
I've located my dad and moved in with him, in a basement apartment located in Roseville, MI. It was kinda small, but I had no real other place to go until I got on my feet again. Well time went on about 1.5 years later he found himself an apartment. He moved out and I stayed here.
