I currently attend UNH , a small school in Durham, NH. Here I am currently studying Computer Science (CS) Programming is definaitly my calling as i've learned alot of computer languages in my spare time. The following are languages and databases that I am familar with:
UNH has a moderatly sized campus with not a lot of things to do. Partying is one past time that never gets old, espically when it's a game of Beirut. The town of Durham is quite small, but being only 10 minutes away from the malls, 30 minutes away from the beach and 20 minutes awway from Portsmouth it is quite easy to find things to do. Also Boston, MA is only 1 hour away, thus the big city is certinaly in driving distance. UNH also attracts alot of musical acts each year. Some past acts have been: Pat McGee Band (2000), Dispatch(2000 + 2001), Howie Day (1999 + 2000 + 2001), String Cheese Incident (2001), Ben Harper (2001), Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds (1996), and etc.... The list goes on and on with great acts playing at UNH. Rusted Root has even played here this year and on October 14, 2002 Stone Temple Piolts will be performing. Being a Division 1 school is also a great perk of the school. The Mens Hockey program is really the only successful program on a nation wide scale, but alas football has been quite bad in recent years along with basketball. The UNH Mens Hockey Team have been ranked as one of the Top 10 best teams for a long time comming. Many famous playes out of UNH and Hockey East have gone on to the NHL. Guys like Jason Krog, Mark Mowers, Tyrone Conklin, Mike Souza and Daren Haydar have been some of the more recent stars of the UNH Mens Hockey team that have and will go on to great NHL carers. So to sum it up UNH is a fun place overall :D Oh yeah, if you want to see an aireal picture of UNH click here Please have patience as this pic is quite large and also be aware that there is alot of construction going on now, so this picture can be labeld as outdated ![]() |
