I have never had an organ transplant done. But it states it on my license. My kids are upset with the fact. If I can help someone, then let it be. They are 20 and 23; old enough to respect my wishes. I really wish that I could become an organ transplant giver, but with my diseases, I am unable to unless it would maybe possibly be the corneas of my eyes. I don't have a healthy organ in my body to give....I have signed my organ card, and of course they won't take them unless they can find one that is not damaged but afraid they are all used up...I have told the MS Center that they may have my brain & spinal cord to study MS if needed. I have told my family that I would even donate my whole body, but t ey frowned on that, and I don't blame them for it. God Bless you, Jim, you are forever a giver of self.
