The Flounder Fish Cat, Flounder for short, is my cat. I got him September of 1999. He was living on my sisters porch until she badgered me into taking him in. I wasn't looking for a cat but he needed a home. So after a great deal of pestering from my sister I went to check him out. I had no intention of bringing a cat home. My sister kept telling me how nice he was. Well, she was right. I fell in love with him right then and there. And home he came. He's been sleeping on the table, hogging my bed, trying to steal my food, and waking me up at 6:00 am every morning ever since. Actually he is about the best pet you can hope to have.
He has a wonderful personality, well behaved, and is super friendly. Bed hogging aside of course. I love it when he is waiting in the window for me to come home. He's always so happy to see you that it can't help but make you smile no matter how bad your day was.
Flounder passed away on October 31st 2006 from Intestinal Lymphoma that spread to his liver. I tried everything I could to help him, a major surgergy in April of 2006 to remove tumors and many, many chemotherapy sessions afterward. It was time and I couldn't ask him to do anymore. I hate cancer. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. Flounder was a lot tougher than I ever thought he was. I was with him at the end. He needed someone who loved him very much. Please love your furry family memebers. The time you have them is so very short. I miss him terribly.
I love you Flounder. Please remember, there is always room for you, no matter when, no matter where. There is always room for The Flounder.
