Carlos Frederick (Carl)'s father was Charles Jean (Carlos Jean) Kinsell, Sr., and his mother was Hilma Sahi.  He was born on March 27, 1912 in Duluth, St. Louis Co., Minn. He took his step-father's last name of Veil. He married Julia L'Allier on October 15, 1934. He married Eleanor Jacques on August 19, 1984.
