If you haven't been to Europe yet, I highly suggest you go- more than once. Such a great place has never of course, gone unnoticed, but next to it, the US lacks something. Our recent trip to London was so great, we just had to feature it in our fall issue.

London, priding itself as one of the few fashion capitals of the world, is way ahead of us right now. Their high style runway collections won't hit stores here until next year. Our current utilitarian style trends have been in Europe since last fall, and this summers capris have been there for at least two years. This among many other things, goes to show how much our style lacks and how much it could gain from European culture. With so many different types in our hemisphere, it's difficult to focus on one statement of fashion, much less carry it through the country.

If you're very fashion-conscious, foreign magazines can help you out on the very latest. What you see on the runways can also be moderaded to fit your budget- some of the latest styles are easy to put together without spending a fortune. Hair and makeup are fairly simple also. This issue is packed with all the latest in beauty, from artists known the world over.

So before you go rushing off to Florida for the next family vacation- don't forget to keep Europe in mind. Even if you're not completely fashion forward.
