Smooth Gallery 1

Black smooth neoprene...that's what you all like. Well, here you are! Also included loads of sharkskin and even some bare skin. Enjoy! These two galleries are arranged so that this first one features more old dive suits and the second one is devoted to surf equipment and other modern suits.

The first stop is the picture that started this all, kind of. This is the picture I mentioned in "Me, Wetfreak"- page, the one with the famous local singer I saw when I was 6 years old. It took loads of effort to find this picture again (it was on the cover of weekly magazine from 1974) but I finally managed with some rather suspicious means. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did and do. This picture has been kindly improved by a contributor who is a bit more handy with Photoshop than I am.

Kind of...

These are my personal favourites here. Amazing Northsea suit made by White Stag in 1969. It is one of the last models without any nylon coating even on the inside so it's all rubber here. I think she also has a very nice figure, though the frightwig is a bit suspicious...

More White Stag suits, this time from early 60's. These are also excellent, I like when they put models into water for a change...and of course I love when they dress the models in smooth rubber. I got a couple of new wersions of the second picture and one of the same girl in a waterskiing outfit. Pure magic.

Another bunch of personal favourites, this time old Cressi Sub suits. Nice model too, reminds me a bit about a girl I used to know so I guess this adds some extra nostalgia value for me. These were taken (ok, stolen...)from a Danish scuba book.

More old Cressi Sub suits. The first one is an even better shot of the middle picture above. And the second one, wow! It looks like it has a long sleeved suit, perhaps an one piece and a short sleeved shorty on top of that. Talk about layers of neoprene! The shorty worn on the last pic is the same as the one modeled above.

And more old BW suit pics. These are (stolen) from an old American book.

A couple of sharkskinned Sportways Turtle skin suits from 1973. Notice text on the second picture that mentions something about "excessive persipiration". How true...

Some selected Finnish Ursuit suits from the late 70's and early 80's.

A collection of Parkway wetsuits from the 60's and 70's (last one from 81). Doesn't the girl on the first two pics (scuba114.jpg & dive17.jpg) look a bit like Nancy Sinatra? I personally like look of the girl in dive28.jpg and of course a wet wetsuit like the one in parkway.jpg is always a nice sight. Somehow sharkskinned suits look a bit bland when they are dry but when they are wet...oh, boy...

And the Caprimania continues with these. Capri4.jpg was one of the favourites of one long time contributor but he had lost this pic so I was very glad to re-unite him with this lost gem. My favourites here are probably capri3.jpg and capri7.jpg though as usual I think I love them all.

Another set of Parkway suits. The colored ones are from 1974 and I quite like the look of this pig-tailed girl. Kinda cute. The light reflections in the first picture are great, this is how wetsuits should be phographed (and look). The suit in the center pic resembles the suit worn by the woman the Aussie pictures in the Fetish gallery, doesn't it? The second set comes from an old diving book and are pretty special for me since the book was one of my tresures as a youngster. A nice book, loads of suited ladies. Sadly the picture printing quality isn't the greatest ever, but I have experienced a lot of pleasurable moments while looking at these.

The 3 first U.S. Capris I included here last time started a real Caprimania and the results you can see here. The third one is still my favourite here and the blonde on the second picture looks like she has been smoking too much grass or something. Or perhaps it's just the 70's make-up... :) On the last picture notice the old time wetsuit pants that go all the way up to the man's chest. It's nice to remember that most ladies here are wearing the same underneath their jackets. I somehow find these wetsuits pants far more erotic that farmer janes. Then again someone might disagree. (Like 99.9% of the Earth's population, who can't see anything erotic in a pair of thick neoprene pants. Hohum...)

Nemrod is an Spanish suit manufacturer and the results are pretty good, I think

A couple of pictures of British(?) Wemlor suits (or a suit) from the 70's

Some nice smooth suits here. First one is a Baileys from 1976 and the second is a diving suit from O'Neill. The first suit is pretty good but I especially *love* the second suit. I like suits where the zipper goes only halfway up the chest and the hood is solidly attached to the suit like probaly in this one (Kinda hard to tell with the hair...). I'd like have a suit like this for my wife and for myself too, in fact. A nice christmas present for your favourite webmaster... The last suit is a nice Techisub shorty.

Smooth parade 2. First one is a Finnsuit from the same book that provided the couple of my nostalgic Parkway pics a bit earlier. The third picture (oneill.jpg) shows an example of how too much jpg-compressing isn't a good idea. My favourite here is probably either the Harvey suit on the start of the second row or twohoses1.jpg right after it. Notice the amusing 3-piece tank system on the second pic.

Smooth parade 3.

These pictures are pretty ancient. One collabrator found a bunch of very old Skin Diver magazines from late 50's and early 60's and scanned me some highlights. Notice the funny gear and also funny colored suit in vintage003.jpg (the sixth one, illogically). And also worth a special mention is vintage006.jpg (fourth one...). Oh my God!

A nice collection of funnily colored psychedelic suits made by Voit

I don't usually steal from other people's galleries but this is just too amazing. This is Rossana Schiffiano, a 60's Italian actress getting into a wetsuit and it's from Neopxxx's gallery. I edited it a bit. Seeing this for the first time almost gave me an heart attack...<*drool*>. I especially love the fact that she really is covered from head to toe totally, even has gloves, which is very rare in this kind of pictures...<*drool*>...wow!

A collection of ladies in just wetsuit tops. The third one is a Brazilian journalist, writer, videomaker and ecological activist Paula Salhanda

A couple of scans from an old East German magazine "Poseidon". In case you are wondering about the monofins in the second picture, they were used (and still probably are) in scuba orienteering in Europe, especially in Eastern Europe. Also used were handheld tanks and clear plastic masks as seen in the picture. Don't know if the rules mention something about obligatory smooth neoprene diving suits because the only time I have seen one (or several in fact) live was while I watching a scuba oriteering championship competition. *Sigh*, that was nice day.. ;) Oh, and as I have mentioned before the lady in woman05.jpg isn't excatly a beauty but the suit is amazing. The last BW picture (div04.jpg) isn't too great but I included it because it had nice old full face mask.

Some stamp sized pics, but I do for some reason enjoy the way the first model pulls the jacket of her wetsuit...

Is this the same girl on these two pictures? Looks like it. Picture dive20.jpg is also here because I did mention something about "girls sucking those regulators" in the "look out, there's fetish ahead"-page. Well, here you go...

What is the point here? A wetskirt? Why? Who invented this? Probably didn't make a lot of money with this invention. Weird... And there's another one, too, this time from those preservers of taste, Tiki.

Alikat sent me these saying that he had gotten them from his photography teacher who in turn had taken these in some fetish session way way back. Notice the funny collar.

This photo was sent with a comment that it looked a bit like Mona Lisa Wetfreak-style (see Modern gallery). Well, a bit, yes. Notice the strangely shaped hood opening.

The Feminine Art Of "Getting Ready" I just love these! This is a 2-page photo reportage from May 1967 Skin Diver and it stars a then up-and-coming starlet Lana Sloniger. The main idea was just to dress her in full scuba gear and film the process and get her comments. Hilarious and (perhaps unintenionally) very erotic. Don't know, maybe Lana has been watching a bit too much "I love Lucy" judging from the facial expressions. And I would like too see her dive with that hair. Some pictures had also captions and I've included them here.

"The jacket was a cinch...but the pants, well that's like wiggling into a full lenght girdle! I'd never made it alone!"

"You guys won't really throw me in the water with all this strapped on...will you???"

"I've often wondered why ducks spend so much time in the water...they can't walk"

"Now how do you get out of the darn thing?"

Speaking of goofy expressions check out this fisherman. Well, I guess I would look like that, too...

This is probably one of the most beautiful women that I have ever seen in a wetsuit, well, or otherwise. Italian, of course...

There no use getting carried away... Hmm, not the best looking suit ever (TechniSub), but I still would like to be one of guys here.

This is Zale Perry who also appears in the Film Gallery

These people are happy because they are on vacation. I need a holiday like this too!

Just get wet!

Continues in Smooth Gallery 2....
