The Government

From a country that is supposed to be separated from the church, it is funny how a religous holiday managed to become a federal holiday. What's the point? For one thing, it is on a Sunday, a date that almost everyone doesn't have to work except the poor fools that have been imprisioned in the fast food industry. Another is the fact that not everyone in the country celebrates it. Its not like the other holidays like Christmas (It should be re-named to "Winter Holiday" kinda like winter break that you get in school) because there are other holidays around that time for different religions. If there is going to be a national holiday, let it be for Merry, a local flavor.
