Hi,
Let me start by first thanking my son David, (Barbwyr-RC), for all the help in creating my homepage. Without his help I would be nothing more than a bored, frustrated, mother of 2 grown children with nothing to do but surf the internet and play bingo. Now that I've said that, let me introduce myself.
My name is Jodi, and like I said, I have 2 grown kids,1 boy and 1 girl. My son David & his wife Barbie (Barbwyr) are the ones who got me started on the homepage, and my daughter Vanessa, who is a hair stylest, is living at home with us and her boyfriend Jim, Who by the way is a very talent singer and songwriter. I believe it is only a matter of time before you will be buying his CD's in the stores. *SMILE* My nineteen year old nephew Rocco also lives with us, he showed up on our door step the morning of the, big, Northridge, California quake in 1994, which was only about twenty miles from our home, to make sure we were ok and has not left yet. His girlfriend Krystal doens't live here, but you wouldn't now it as she spends most of her time here with him. "I don't know what it is about this house but we seem to gather more nuts then most squirrels do for the winter." To round out the group we have one very, very, small dog named Roxie and two very, very, large cats named Snowball & Fred. No grandkids yet .... SOON I HOPE.
Oh yeah , I should mention my sister Cheri who shows up with my other nephew Tony about everyother weekend and stays for a couple of days to visit with the son that won't stop calling me short (5' 13/4") which I don't think is short at all. Then there is Nicole she is my neice, she lives in California also with her fiancé Jim. I have watched her grow up so fast into such a beautiful lady. She is the sweetest person you could ever have the pleasure of meeting. Last but certainly not least is my brother Rick.I could spend hours telling you about him but then I wouldn't get anything else done, so let me just say he is my older brother. Rick is a wonderful guy. He wasn't when we were little but most brothers tourment their sisters, it is in their birth certificates. It is sort of there right I guess. It is a good thing he grew up. He is married to a great lady named Erica, who is a paralegal, and they have 1 daughter and her name is Diana, Diana is a very beautiful girl,(don't know where she gets it). She has worked hard to get to the top of her class and has done so. She is 13 going on 25, you know the type, very grown up. She is a great young lady, mom and dad are going to have their hands full. She is already looking toward her future as a doctor. My brother Is a screen writer and has had a few movies made,(Society, PreHisteria, and co-wrote several others). I am very proud of him. All I can say is they are the best.
Maybe real soon I will be able to add pictures of all of us and you can see my daughters hair styling abilities.
My husband, Dave, and I will celebrate our 29th. year together Sept.6 1998. We were married very young so I don't feel that old. To young to retire. Although they say you have to work before you can retire, so I guess the only thing I have retired from is cooking meals every night of the week since the kids have grown up. My husband's favorite things to do are fishing , camping , and watch racing on TV. He use to race about 17 years ago. It just never leaves the body, once a racer always a racer. I won't tell him but I miss it too. You can read my story about our racing days at (Fuzzbug's Garage)
These days instead of going to the race track every weekend my husband tries to go fishing or camping. Camping isn't as bad as it use to be, since we purchased a motorhome. It's a lot easier to cook and clean in the motorhome than in a tent. Now that was ruffing it. My idea of ruffing it is going to the Edgewater Hotel and Casino in Laughlin, NV., camping out in front of a slot machine , pushing the service button , and letting someone else bring me a drink. Then hiking allllll the way down the esculator to the buffet were THEY prepare the food , clean up the mess , and do the dishes.
My life's goal is to one day live within walking distance of the Edgewater. My husband on the other hand cringes everytime he thinks about it. Another good thing about Laughlin is my husband can fish while I play the slots. I don't bother him and he can't spend all the quarters I win. Win Win situation don't you think? I would like to thank Geocities for the opportunity to let others know about the great sites that I have found while surfing the net and for letting me talk about my favorite past time , going to Laughlin and playing the slots. Well I am always open for suggestions for my page, so if you have any, feel free to email me. I like getting Email , It's better than the regular mail no bills with email!!!
Thanks for taking the time to read about me . There will be lots of stuff on my homepage soon. Please hang in there for me.
