EDMONTON YOUTH ORCHESTRA

       violin.gif (4866 bytes) The EYO gives many young players from the Edmonton area a chance to play in one of two symphony orchestras. The ages of the players range from 11 to 24 in the intermediate orchestra to 14 to 24 in the senior orchestra. Players are selected from auditions held in May. The members of the orchestras gain valuable knowledge of repertoire and also establish friendships with other young people with similar interests.

        I have spent four wonderful years in the EYO. Our trip to Ottawa in May 2000 was the perfect way to end my carrer in the orchestra. I would like to thank all the people in the orchestra, and especially Mr.Massey for amking my experience such a postitive one. I'll come back and visit one of these days. Just try and stop me! font>
