The Victoria High Stingarettes dominated the District 28-5A golf team, placing all five of its A team players on the squad while the Victoria Stingarees had two members make the 28-5A boys team. Senior Charlotte Westbrook a three time all-district player and the reigning 28-5A champion led the way for the Stingarettes. She was joined by juniors Lynde Bleeker, the runner-up at district, Melissa Mitchell and Katie House and freshman Miranda Orr. The other two spots went to Amy Autry and Jennifer Rogers of Corpus Christi Carroll. Stingarette seniors Kellie Meyer and Kim Koenig, junior Summer Hausmann and freshman Kate Meyer were named to the second team. Stroman's Angela Adames and Victoria High's Tara Bland were named honorable mention.
Weston Bingham made the all-district team for the fourth year. The 28-5A individual medalist will take his three district titles to North Texas next year. The other Stingaree making the first team, Jason Louth, will have a chance to duplicate Bingham's four all-district honors, as he is a freshman and finished second at the 28-5A tournament. Making the second team for the district champion Stings were junior Wes Pennington and freshman Caleb Etheredge. Wheeler Cain, Skylar Byers, Michael Trahan and Todd McGlothlin were all selected honorable mention.
Bingham, Louth, Cain, Trahan, Byers and Ty Wilson were named academic all-district as were Westbrook, Bleeker, Orr, Mitchell, House, Kellle Meyer, Koenig, Hausmann, Bland and Amanda Edwards for the Stingarettes.
