My Poetry

Ode To Her

Charlie J Fuquay

Her's is the beauty of the mountains and the valley.
The breathtaking scenery of the open plains.
Her eyes pocess the splendor of the vast sundrenched ocean.
A smile radiating the warmth and comfort of the tropics.
As the ocean spray carresses her silken skin.
Few have seen her face or known her touch.
An endless winter in limbo.
Is what it is WITHOUT HER

A Poem From Tao of Jeet Kune Do

Bruce Lee

From thoughts and emotion,
Even the tiger finds no room
To insert it’s fierce claws

One and the same breeze passes
Over the pines on the mountain
And the oak trees in the valley;
And why do they give different notes ?

No thinking, no reflecting,
Perfect emptiness;
Yet therein something moves,
Following it’s own course,

The eye sees it,
But no hands can take hold of it-
The moon in the stream.

Clouds and mists,
They are midair transformations;
Above them eternally shine the sun and the moon.

Victory is for the one,
Even before the combat,
Who has no thought of himself,
Abiding in the no-mind-ness of Great Origin

Confidence

Dani Nell

My makeup is smeared
My hair is a mess
And no body likes
The way I dress.

My legs are unshaven
My shoes are unlaced
My smile is crooked
for my teeth are not braced.

My lazy brown curls
Are tied up in a bun
My shirt is untucked
And my nails are undone

My eyes are plain brown
My hair is plain, too
But I feel so beautiful
Because I'm with you.

Mindless Efforts of Lore

Dani Nell

Somedays I am strong
And I could climb the highest mountain
To the top
With no ropes or pulleys
for you
I could swim the deepest ocean
To the farthest horizon
Only to prove the fact
I love you...

Some days I am weak
And I can do is hold you close
And bring my warm moist lips
To your neck and kiss you
I bring them to your cheek, and then to your ear
And softly I whisper
I love you...

Somedays I can't speak
And I just take you in my arms
And clumsily, my long, plump fingers
Run through your coarse blond locks
Which are soaked with gel
I gaze into your deep blue eyes
And smile with a confident smile
That forgets to keep my lips pressed together
For shame of my crooked teeth
And then you just know...

More to Come.....
