---------- 2004 ----------

05/21/04 - Work continues on the Leechburg Business Connection. We have added news, events, and installed a brand new forum. Hopefully this gains extra attention for the site in conjunction with the businesses. Back at home I obtained another computer, a slow Pentium 133 with 40 MB of Ram. I'm going to try to install Red Hat Linux on it just to have something to mess with down in the basement. If I can get my hands on a computer like that for free now, imagine what will be free 5 years from now?

05/09/04 - Well, lots of work has been done on the Leechburg Business Connection. The first thing I did was to purchase the URL for a year, so the site is officially located at www.15656.com. Doing this enabled me to do other things, such as create a forum and add search capability to the site.

04/20/04 - Well, look at how nice the weather is becoming. I took advantage of it and took a trip up to my grandparents place near Riddlesburg, PA. It is approximatly 100 miles east of Leechburg. The Juniata River flows past their place making it absolutly lovely. It was nice to relax and not have to worry about work and school. But, here I am, back doing both. Anyway, there are three pieces of news to report.

The first, today is Seth Tonet's 21st birthday. I only remember because it's the anniversary of the Columbine school shooting. I wonder how drunk Seth is right now?..

And, second in the news, I have set a schedule for the Leechburg Business Connection. I will start pitching the idea May 1st, and hope to have the site running full time with it's own new URL June 1st. Here's hoping that the 300 plus Leechburg businesses see the great oppurtunity that this will present. If all sucessful, and it does not burn me out, I will move on to another town. But, for now, it is just Leechburg that I am interested in. So, visit often. The site will be updated all through May and starting in June it will move to it's new permenant URL.

The last piece of news is that there are two new postings on the picture page. You can now see pictures of Leechburg Cemetery and our newest pet Chi Chi the Chinchilla

04/10/04 - Today was a good day. I got some rollerblading in, I got some bicycling in, and best of all, some picture taking. I just uploaded pictures of Lovers Leap onto the Picture Page. Since Mike Atwood isn't around to take pictures anymore, the updates have been a little slow. But, like always, they will be good. So enjoy the new pictures. On a personal note, things got better and I am happy now =^)

04/07/04 - There are two parts to this update. The first part is the announcement of the Leechburg Business Connection. As of today, the website is due to officaly launch the beginning of June. There will be a detailed page for every business that is interested in signing up, creating more personality for all Leechburg businesses. The second part is to update on the move. Everything went as planned and I am now living full time in our large house. I have my room all to myself and am just starting to get settled in. But the sad part is, this is the beginning of April, and it seems that every year something goes bad at this point. That sucks.

03/02/04 - Well, as far as I know, the house will be my new home. I will get pictures up as quickly as possible. I will have a gigantic room all to myself. This comes just in time for a new project. The LIP project is going to have something added to it to create a profit for me. I am going to work hard to make this dream a reality, and if things go ok, this summer will be one hot year for the LIP. I'm anticipating widespread attention, making it one of the most viewed websites that I have ever made. Currently, the picture page holds that record, at over 19,000 hits. It recieves an average of 30 visits per day, most coming from search engine results. People search for mustangs, cheerleaders, Schenley, honda civic's, and all sorts of stuff. That boosts my visits through the roof. Well, time to move, I must get going, there will be an update following the move.

02/28/04 - I finally started tearing back into the Leechburg Intersection Project. I've always wanted to finish the HTML Version, but I think I'm going to focus on the new Flash Version. The flash gives me the ability to put more things into the map and I get to use a flash map instead of using the large picture. That saves at least 10 seconds of download time on a dial-up modem. Another plus side is the gathering of data. Rachel and I love to take walks around town and what better way to exercise than to go around taking pictures. With all the added space of having my own room, I'll have plenty of room to work on the project. Most of the materials for the project are in a folder somewhere and are quite inaccessable. Also, I started a similar project. It's the Expo Mart Picture Project. It's like the LIP, only its the third floor of the Monroeville Expomart.

02/22/04 - Well, its official, we are moving! I just got the news last night. I am so excited; I'll have an entire room to myself to work on web projects, etc. With that kind of space I might just get a few things done. There are a few updates to report over at the picture page, a new picture of me and a story about my troubles with setting up my first wireless network. I also want to mention this really cool virtual world I found called “there”. A couple years ago I played a game called “active worlds”. It was a large virtual chat room where you could move around. The people who chatted there could also build houses and other things. It is still working as of today. Anyway, this one is a lot better I think, and I think it uses a lot of flash to make itself work. You can purchase new clothes, buy a vehicle, and all sorts of other cool thing. I met someone who could borrow an air boat from a friend and we both got on it and took a cruise across the virtual island. The boat seated up to 5 people so I could have had more. The game is really detailed and a lot of fun. You only get a 14 day trial for free, and then I think its 25 dollars a year. I’m considering it, but then it may eat up too much of my real time. Only time will tell, I’ve got 13 more days left.

02/07/04 - There are some large changes in my life coming up. The first of which is whether or not I'll be moving into a new house. Everything has gone ok with it for the past month, but then a stumbling block came into play tonight. But it is nothing offical, just speculation for now. So, therefore, I am going to ignore it and hope for the best. In preperation for this new house, we have fallen in love with a stray dog, Sadie. She is a Mastif, yet she only weighs 95 pounds. This is because her previous owners did not feed her properly (The ones that abandoned her). We took her on a long car ride today and walked her into Pet Smart and Pet Supplies Plus in Greensburg. I was really surprised at how many people will talk to you when you have a dog. Especially one as pretty as Sadie. Also, I updated some of the links on the bottom to get rid of the broken ones.

01/11/04 - All sorts of interesting things to report. The top of my list is my christmas present. I got a Dell Inspiron 5100 Laptop. That also prompted me to build a wireless network in my apartment so now I can use the internet anywhere in the house. School. I am in my 5th quarter of ITT. We are studing Linux and Databases this quarter. Perhaps one day this site will be hosted on a Linux server. Speaking of Linux, I was in a hockey rink this evening and a mega touch maching was restarting. Guess what runs the mega touch machines? (those games in the bars) Linux. Pretty neat I'd say. In other news the picture page is going to migrate some of the news page over to it via links. I am going to post direct links to all of my writing content on the picture page and re-sort it. Then I will post anything new I have written lately. Other than that, nothing too exciting happening here.
