The Feeling of Loneliness |

What is this feeling I have? It's about an emptiness It feels like there is a space Right here in my chest It's about fleeting memories Of a time when time was unreal For just a small period in time There was a completeness There was a happiness There was contentment Despite the knowledge That it would soon end There was a feeling of being whole For one moment But now there is only emptiness This loneliness That engulfs That overwhelms That saddens Now there is only a restlessness In my spirit That speaks of a want That may never be fulfilled An ache deep down Where nothing and no one can reach No friend No acquaintance No mentor Will ever touch It's all about forbidden feelings And impossible dreams It's about lost love And burning lust It's about forgotten dreams And aching restlessness It's about everything I've ever had and lost It's about a time That will never return It's loneliness I feel And it feels like It will tear me apart. |
