Class of 1958

Diane (Seay) Wiles reports that the class of 58 is planning a Pig Roast, to be held on June 6, 1998 at Frank Hudgins Knotts Island party house and we are inviting reps. from the other 50's classes to meet with us to include them Our purpose of this is to see how many of them would be interested in joining us at our 40th reunion in Sept. Sept. 25,26,27 is the date for our Reunion. It will be held at the Virginia Beach Resort Hotel and we are in the process of getting our mailings out to the Class of '58. This is were we thought maybe some of our classmates may see the info.on your reunion page and contact us with either their e-mail or their home address so we can make sure they receive an invitation. After an initial period for reservations coming in from the Class of '58, we will open reservations to the other 50's classes. Rooms will be available at the Resort Hotel at a special rate and we will have functions planned from Fri. thru Sun. check-out time. As in the past, we will probably extend partying even thru Sun. We are still a bunch of Party Animals.

Attention PA High School Graduates

1998 marks the 40th graduation anniversary of the class of 1958. Our reunion committee has been busy finding a location and making plans for a celebration of this special anniversary. We will be completing these plans in the near future. During one of our meetings, we decided to add an additional party to our agenda, and, to invite ALL the classes from the 50's to attend. We are meeting with represenatives from each of the classes (55-59) to help us with the planning of the additional party.
The party, a BBQ picnic and social on Saturday, June 6, 1998, will be held at Frank Hudgins' (Class of '57) Blue Pete Haven located in Knotts Island, NC, (located just across the state line). The party will get underway at 3:00 PM and the food will be served around 4:00. The picnic will feature famous Malbon Bros. pork BBQ and fried chicken, with all the trimmings. There will be music for your listening and dancing pleasure provided by Buck Maddrey (Class of '58). This is a super casual party, BYOB, and setups will be available, The cost is $15 per person . If you are interested and would like to attend, you should fill out your registration data right now, write us a check and get it in the mail to us without delay! Do I need to further emphasize the importance of getting this in early? We must have your reservation and check NO LATER than May 15, so we can give the caterer enough advance notice. We are looking forward to seeing lots of our class members as well as those from the other "fabulous fifties" classes.
Our main event, 'The Reunion, will be held September 25, 26, 27th. The Class of '58 will be inviting classmates from ALL the 50's classes to attend our reunion and celebrate with us. This will be the first time ever, that all the 50's classmates will be invited to assemble for a gigantic reunion ! We are presently making the final arrangements soon.
Follow these simple directionso Blue Pete Haven. From Pungo follow Rte. 615 South as far as you can go. The road is crooked, don't lose hope. Turn left at the Blue Pete Haven sign on the left, 1/2 mile from the Knotts IslandInn. We will have a sign posted at Hudgins lane directing you to the PARTY.

There are rumblings of a joint reunion of the classes the fifties
sometime this summer. Joint reunion? I guess that our ranks are thinning, but I am
sure I will be able to get a weekend pass out of the "Shady Rest Rest Home.
Regardless of what happens there, Ann Lyon (Ackiss) and Joanne Hines (Rhudy) are saying they
want something in 1999. Marshall Lefavor took a stance in the matter. He says that
he feels strongly both ways. Your comments are more than welcome here or in the guestbook.
