What the hell is a muntjac, you ask? Well, it's a loveable little animal that vaguely resembles a little deer with horns and tiny tusks... He's kinda funny looking, but he is my friend and I love him! Anyway, June 11 was Muntjac Day. My loveably retarded friends Jes (a.k.a. Ecobitch) and Batman accompanied me to the Farmer's Inn, a couple of miles north of Sigel, PA. The Farmer's Inn is the home of such common household animals as the Ring-Tailed Lemur (Batman's favorite), the reindeer, the coyote, and the annoying, incessantly bleating goat. We fed the muntjac some corn and watched the lemur commit illegal and unnatural acts on a stuffed animal. It was good old wholesome family fun... There was even a pot-bellied pig that, frankly, scared the bajesus out of me because he was big and black and hairy and breathed funny... Yeesh! Oh yeah, and there was a big, ugly ostrich that stalked Ecobitch all day and bit her when she tried to feed it.
Well, after leaving the Farmer's Inn, the three of us decided to go canoeing... What a great idea considering it was only in the lower 70's and the water was low in the river. Well, the guy drove us up 4 MILES. Stay out of the middle he said.... Keep to the right, he said... Well I don't think I need to tell you that we got stuck on about 40 THOUSAND rocks and shallow places. And who didn't get stuck, you ask? The people who went down the middle, of course... The rest of our trip can be summed in the guy's statement when we got back: "What the HELL happened to you three?" Well, I'll give you one wild guess.... GRRR! But we did have a lot of fun and to celebrate surviving, we gorged ourselves at Eat N' Park. YAY!!
