Just call me JesusFreak. It's the summer of '98 and I told myself I wasn't going to be bored this summer. So, I made this work of art, if you can call it that. My webpage is supposed to be a Christian alternative and other alternative/pop/rock site. But, I am yet to find any more Christian songs to add (right now all I have is Third Day). So, if any of you that are reading this stumble across any Jars of Clay, Audio Adrenaline, DC Talk, or Newsboys, then tell me about them.
I am entering Cypress Springs High School of Cypress, Texas, next year as a sophomore. It's one of the biggest if not the biggest high school in the Houston, Texas area, and one of the biggest in the state. I have to walk down a hallway everyday that is a quarter mile long. But anyway, that's not the point. I am a proud member of the Cypress Springs Panther Marching and Symphonic Bands. Last year ('97-'98 school year) we went to the Blinn College Marching Contest as a 3A and placed 3rd out of 12 high schools in our category, receiving a division I Then we went to the Sam Houston Marching Contest as a 3A and placed 2nd out of 4, with a division I. We went back to Blinn for a stage contest and received a division I. Then came UIL. We did it again. We got the sweepstakes. The spring trip to San Antonio came next. While there, we went to Six Flags Fiesta Texas and performed also. We got a division I and BEST IN CLASS! Oh yeah, did I mention that we are the FIRST students to step through the doors of CSHS? Yes, this was the first year it was opened, and we got to be first. All this in the first year of our high school's history. What an honor.
I know you're sick of band talk but only a little more. I myself play the Baritone Saxophone. I am first chair and was third in the band of 39 or so winds in tryouts with a score of 178 or something like that.
As you can tell, I LOVE MUSIC, and hope to study it my whole life. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not going to be a director like Holcombe (our director), not that there is anything wrong with directing, its just that I'm not into that type of thing. That's what Matt (our returning drum major) is for.
I guess this is all I really have to say about myself. I hope you didn't strain your eyes with white text on a black background.

I'm back again. We've started school and are now in the 2nd six weeks out the 6 in the school year. It's going pretty fast. This year we are marching Beethoven. To be exact: Beethoven's Fifth, Fur Elise, Pathetique Sonata, and Ode to Joy. It's really fun so far, especially when our Varsity football team has all Sophomores and Juniors on it. No seniors 'til next year. And we're already 3-0! GO PANTHERS! Anyway, I'll write more later, so be sure to come back and visit me soon at Jesus Freak's Sound Center! (Don't forget to check out the downlaod section of my page!)

It's me again! I am proud to say that I have started to update my page more frequently now. We have had a very successful marching season at Cypress Springs High School in '98. At the Katy Invitational, we received for the first time in Cypress Springs marching band history a division II. : ( Oh well, huh. But at UIL we recieved a division I. In fact, we are the first school in Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District to receive a I the first year in its UIL performence. Then we went back to Sam Houston and received 2nd place and a division I. Thank you for reading about my boring life! Cy'all!
