Adding Background Images
In order to add a background image to an HTML file, you must modify the tag of the said file to be similar to this:
where file_name is the name or address (URL) of the image you want to serve as the background of your HTML file.
Say, for example, the background image you want is named logobg.jpg . Provided it is already in your GeoCities homestead, then you simply have to make the tag of the HTML file you want the background image to appear in look like this: . Similarly, if the background image you want is named logobg.gif , then you can have a tag that states .
NOTE In GeoCities, file names are case sensitive. Therefore sb7.jpg is different from Sb7.jpg .
NOTE For example, if your GeoCities address is http://www.oocities.org/SouthBeach/Port/9923, you could opt to use the following tag: . Though it is much longer, it still works the same.
Now the question is where do you find the image tag? Well, you could find it just below the tag. To give you a more concrete picture, below is an example of the HTML code used to make an image named logobg.gif the background image.

TIP Please make sure that the text in your web page blends well with your chosen background image.
