Putting the GeoGuide on a page

The following are the instructions for inserting the GeoGuide into your page.

NOTE
. You might want to try the FrontPage Add On for the GeoGuide at the Answer Point's MS FrontPage information center.
NOTE-2
. Once you put the GeoGuide on a page, whenever you download the source of the page from GeoCities. The GeoGuide comment tag is replaced with HTML, so you have to replace the code with the original GeoGuide tag. You can avoid this problem by using FTP to download your page.

expbul2d.gif (852 bytes) Position the cursor on the page where you want the GeoGuide (GeoCities wants it at the top)

expbul2d.gif (852 bytes) On the insert Menu, FrontPage Component.

expbul2d.gif (852 bytes) The FrontPage Component dialog will open. Select the Insert HTML component.

expbul2d.gif (852 bytes) The HTML Markup dialog will appear. Enter the following HTML code:

Or to center the GeoGuide on your page:

<div align="center"><!--#geoguide--></div>

expbul2d.gif (852 bytes) Then press OK to close the HTML Markup dialog.

expbul2d.gif (852 bytes) Save your page and upload it to GeoCities

expbul2d.gif (852 bytes) Go to the GeoGuide Manager page, and enable the GeoGuide for your page.

expbul2d.gif (852 bytes) You are done, the GeoGuide should appear on your page (you may have to Refresh/Reload your page to see it). A sample GeoGuide is at the top of this page (inside a table with a border and matching background).
